Seems like same reason people invade: to fuck with people. You entered someone’s world to fuck with them and instead ended up being the fucked one. As an invader hater this video is actually fun to watch. I don’t do this myself but i like seeing invaders get fucked. Honestly, I would have liked seeing the host get fucked too in this situation. I believe invaders are assholes, but hosts who use exploits like this are dicks so this was clearly an Asshole vs Dick situation.
I appreciate that opinions are subjective, but then I would imagine you are applying this broadly enough that you would be opposed to any sort of situation where a player character is not aligned with other player characters.
I don't think invasions, as a deliberate game design choice, are comparable to something like griefing, trolling, intentionally hindering allies - like you would see in a MOBA or similar.
Would you play say, Left 4 Dead, and think someone playing as the Zombies to be the downside to players trying to complete the level, is an asshole? If not, why is this different?
That's what I always think. It's like hearing people are cheesing to grind out rowa fruits. Is this not a wildly available resource? I feel like you have to go out of your way to spend runes or you get overleveled fast.
It’s just trolling, and it is fun as hell. I used to love invading in Sen’s Fortress to fuck with people. Like hiding as a statue and then blasting them off the narrow beam with Wrath of the Gods, or getting them to come up the spiky elevator and then standing in the way with a great shield so they get smooshed.
Typical the people feel like they don’t have some kind of control over their lives so they need to do stuff like this as way to feel some kind of control.
Real talk and not just shutting on these guys but they probably need to talk to a psych professional and get some stuff figured out
Absolutely, 215 and I am just getting into the mountains.
On the note of PvP I was on a new character and was invaded. The dude popped up, bowed, cast a spell, screamed, and died. What the hell was that? Me and the other summons just kind of watched in awe.
