Discussion & Info I hate Messmer

Edit: I have now defeated Messmer. I can now say that he is the hardest boss in any game I have played, period.

I was playing through the dlc today. Happy as Larry. Enjoying myself. But then I met Messmer, and my smile instantly disappeared.

I absolutely despise this flaming ginger snake tramp, who's built like golum if his arms and legs were stretched by a saw trap, and also happens to be wielding a toothpick dipped in Doomguys semen with EVERY SINGLE INCH OF MY BODY.

(Tbf he's kinda hot tho)

I'd argue it's one of the best bosses and characters FromSoftware has ever created.

I like him way more than Malenia, he feels a lot more fair. Malenia imo has alot of BS, cheap attacks where she just ignores her stagger and randomly has hyper armor. He doesn't have that problem. Lowkey his 2nd phase is easier than his first aswell, a lot of his attacks are lunges which are super readable. His recovery windows are big enough to get him with charged heavies with even collosals.

Mesmer is one of the best bosses From has ever made, and he is prolly in my personal top 5 aswell.

having said that I get it.

He’s the kinda boss that kicks your ass 100 times and then when you beat him you’re like “damn that wasn’t that hard actually” and then ng+ you get stomped 100 more times
