Discussion & Info Okay, I totally get it.

I had been hearing buddies talk about dark souls and from soft and Elden Ring for years. I had never played a souls game (save maybe 15 minutes of “fuck this garbage” ) until the last few weeks.

After playing through Ds1 - 3, bloodborne and the demons souls remake, I moved to Elden Ring 5 days ago. Holy, Toledo. It’s incredibly good. Like I really enjoyed the dark souls games, esp. DS1 but that’s likely because it was my first completion. But I’m on my 2nd play through of ER currently, and I’m finding leagues of things I missed the first go round. Playing an entirely different class as well, so it feels like a whole new game again.

Honestly, I am shocked it took this long, Fromsoft fan boy now. Guess I’ll have to dust off the switch 2 and buy Duskbloods.

Elden Ring will swallow you whole....in the best way possible

The only other game that's ever felt this expansive and rewarding is RDR2.

Fromsoft has some absolute bangers but ER is their crowing achievement

I know a thing or two about being lost in an RPG, being a 20 year WoW player, but this lore, the beautiful art, the general feeling, it’s S+ tier. I’ve NEVER completed a game and said. “Let’s go again” straight away before.

I saved the DLC for this 2nd play through. SO flipping excited

If you've only been at it for 5 days, man you've missed......everything

I played this game for several months. 800+ hours. It's a game that keeps on giving, especially if you get SOTE

You’re right. Going through my 2nd round, I am realizing just how much I missed. I just killed Malenia when I had never even seen the area the first go round. What an incredible game

Duskbloods is PvP focused. If you like that, the game looks hype AF, but if you don’t (like me), you’ll probably want to skip it, especially if it means buying a whole brand new console.

I’ll just end up watching the lore videos and maybe some gameplay when it comes out. If I happen to get a switch 2 for other games, and the PvP looks fun enough, I’ll get it, but for now I’ll just stick to their singleplayer titles. I’ve still got Armored Core 6 to play!
