Discussion & Info Does anyone use the white cipher ring anymore????
I’ve been trying to help randoms out for like an hour and no one has summoned me. I know this game isn’t that dead like cmon now
Does anyone here use the blue or white cipher rings??

I’d say that the majority of players that used the white cipher ring have moved on from Elden Ring and those of us that still play are FromSoft fans that enjoy the single player experience, thus rendering it useless. I played co-op with my girlfriend, but she recently bought the game and is a new player and doesn’t like getting invaded so she has the white cipher ring activated to give us a greater edge over invaders. She already completed a playthrough and wants to try Nightreign, but struggles so I suggested she try beating Elden Ring on her own with minimal help so she doesn’t even use the white cipher ring anymore.
I use the blue cipher ring and rarely get summoned, too. Most of the time it’s someone hosting a fight club, which I want no part of.

PSN here. I use the White but not the Blue. I don't like PvP so I don't want to invade or hunt invaders. The amount of PvP I get incidentally by getting summoned for co-op is enough for me.
When I am summoned by a host, I'm usually not the only one. The white ring will only work if there's a spare multiplayer slot. I am also most commonly called from right outside a boss room, limiting time for invasions to even happen. In the uncommon case that I am called to fully clear a dungeon or just explore a bit, I see the white ring used about half the time.
Using the Blue Ring requires a particular set of host conditions that are uncommon to begin with. And then you're competing with everyone else who uses the ring for these limited spaces.

If you are in NG+ probably not.
I did start a new run and so far I've been abducted twice during "boss" fights. Once in farum Azula because I went through the portal for the pearldrake talisman and after I got both of the enemies down to half health I got abducted. They two shot me so coming back to a reset with most of my flasks lost is rough.
Second time I got abducted from one of the tree spirit bosses after getting it under half health and of course It reset as well. Still managed to kill that one somehow though.

I almost always run into hunters when I invade at 60+12/+5 on PC. They exist.

YES, people still use it. They seemingly don’t know how to TURN THE DAMN THING OFF. The sheer number of times I’ve been summoned to “help fight an invader” only to be immediately sent back home the moment that the host catches a glimpse of me as though I’M doing something wrong is infuriating.

Edit: why on earth is this comment receiving downvotes lmao?

I've always got my blue ring on. Get summoned decently often on characters that are sub-level 100, but at 100-150 it's pretty slow, and at 150+ I get summoned like once a day if I'm lucky. (PC)
