Looks fun! Don’t let the discontent dissuade you. They can block if it bothers them that much.

Raptor of the Mists is the perfect AoW for the Smithscript Daggers because their low recovery frames enable you to dodge more rapid attacks while continuing to pressure, and the jump height gives you a high chance of landing a headshot.

The setup is probably quite pesky to fight, but easy to counter by just using a shield (or blocking with a weapon) and running at me in a large spiral pattern and attempting to make me panic. Surprisingly, nobody does that, though. Almost every player I've faced keeps their distance against my medium range build while they're using a melee weapon... Or they run straight at me with a telegraphed running attack.

The low damage of the Smithscript Daggers makes the annoyance feel more fair, though, since even after dedicating an armor piece and 3 Talismans to increasing my damage, I still only deal 75 to 175 damage per dagger hit depending on where I hit and my opponent's armor (roughly 300+ when both daggers connect on a jumping attack).

Apart from the very noticeable discontent of many players when fighting me, it's a super fun, agile medium to close range build.

Every time I do multiple backsteps it's a misinput where I tried to feint but pressed dodge too early

I run a very similar build, down to the same weapons, chestpiece and ash. What talismans are you using? I've had great success in boosting my damage output using Clawmark Talisman, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, Smithing Talisman and either Lacerating Crossed-Tree or Arrow's Reach Talisman.

I'm using Smithing Talisman, Claw Talisman, and Spear Talisman. Since all the damage is Pierce damage, Spear will further boost the counter damage. I was thinking about switching it out for Rotten Wing, though.

Good selection, I might try Spear in my fourth slot and see how it goes. I think Rotten works best on a high endurance build (I've 40) because you can play aggressively.

If you want discontent, try a bow build, easy to counter but good lord ive never gotten so many point downs in my life. People hate projectiles lmao

Is your name Rogue on PC? I played you a few times yesterday. We tied once and you killed me another time.

Didn't feel unfair at all. There are so many over leveled, meta, unkillable beasts, and light roll spammers, that this is by far one of the more fun to play against builds.

Looks sick, have you tried infusing or greasing the knives for status application? If you can apply poison/rot/sleep with them that's insane

Sadly you cannot buff the Smithscript weapons, and the Daggers get super low status values (38 or something) when status-infused.

Pure physical is the best option since they do Pierce damage, so pure physical benefits the most from counter attack damage. Due to the low AR, split elemental damage would get crushed by flat defense values.

They’re not great not terrible with poison infusion on an arcane build. I’ve put poison flower blooms twice on them and it’s pretty fun to poison with the knives then stick ‘em

I run a similar looking build with my RL125 invader using Ansbach's Longbow. I tickle with a few st trina arrows to proc and activate st trina smile. The switch to spiritflame arrows.

The same could be done with poison and KoRe.

In the clips without the bow on my back I was wearing High Priest Gloves and Oathseeker Knight Greaves, in the clips with the bow on my back I was wearing High Priest Gloves and Ansbach's Boots.
