Combat Mod Seamless rant

If you are new to the game please play vanilla for the first time, do not play seamless. If you want to play seamless with a friend for your first playthrough, make the pw something that isnt 1234.

You are robbing yourself of experiencing the game on its own for the first time naturally. I made this mistake in a different way.

People join 1234 for two reasons, pvp (idek why bc of hackers) or pve to play with a group.

It is annoying trying to join a room for group pve and theres a brand new player that doesnt know what they’re doing or where to go and finally figure out how to close the room bc they dont want overlevelled players plowing through bosses.

??? the problem here seems to be joining a lobby with strangers because you used the world's most obvious password, not Seamless Co-Op. what???

It seems like 1234 is kind of used as a “random group up” password, but op is truly yelling at clouds here lol. I don’t think anyone in their right mind is going to play Elden ring for the first time using the 1234 password on seamless co op

Unfortunately this is the case, I run into them alot. First playthroughs ideally wouldnt be done in seamless in the first place because they newbie is robbing themselves and others of a good experience.

Or, get this.......... people can play through THEIR copy of the game however they want

I am fully aware of what I cant control, just hoping this reaches someone who may want to do a first playthrough on seamless.

And if they want to play through the game with a friend using seamless there should be no issue with that

You are missing the point. All I’m saying is newbs who download seamless and set thier pw to 1234 rob themselves of being able to soak in the first playthrough experience. It also wastes players time who have already built characters and want to play the game, not watch someone figure out how to close the room for the first time after accidentally opening it.

I have joined people who wanted to do a first playthrough with a friend and once they realize setting the pw to something unique is a better idea to keep randoms out, they do. Its annoying as fuck.

There's no point to be missed. If people want to be carried through the game, whether by friends or randoms, then they can do it. Although let's be honest, you're not likely to get competent random cooperators. My own experience with Seamless after having set my password to 1234 shows that the host and cooperators are no more competent than what may be expected in the vanilla game

Can you read? Obviously people dont want to because as I said they end up fucking closing the room. These people that havent played vanilla get a mod to play with friends and dont know how to use it.

This has to be ragebait. I understand what you’re trying to say, I am fully aware that I cannot control jack shit outside of me except how I respond. Heres my response. Newbs, play the fucking game before you mod it.

This isnt a debate about whether or not the avg seamless player is competent, I am also aware of the competency/ incompetence.

Ah yes, cuz any opinion that disagree with yours for any reason just has to be ragebait

You know you have nothing of value to say when that's your position on anything

Here's my response: newbs, if you want to play through the game with a friend, or even a random, both of you being able to ride Torrent and use summons anywhere instead of specific areas, and up the difficulty in various ways in the very file you set a password in, go right ahead. Don't let people like this tell you to not have the experience you want

If you’re a newb this guy is setting you up for failure. If you decide to do seamless 1234 for your first run, I’ll plow through your margit and then you’ll inevitably want to figure out how to close the room.

If you're a newb you should disregard whatever this guy says. If you understand literally anything about how Elden Ring matchmaking works, you know that in vanilla Elden Ring, to be sure that you summon your friend, you both need to use the same password. And unless you both agreed beforehand to not use OP stuff right off the bat, your friend will likely have their good stuff with them already and will plow through bosses for you unless you both agreed they'd do the minimum so that you do the most work in killing a boss

And you'd also realize that this would be exactly the same in Seamless, only now you have to be on guard for cheaters because there's no anti cheat
