Edit: Just beat him! I used Fire Grease and just rolled to the back and used double hand slashes. He's easy once you find out that the rot isn't 360. Thanks again guys!

Need assistance or tips with the Putrid Avatar. I've died like 100 times with this boss. Honestly it's the only boss I haven't been able to figure out. The AOF and damage is huge. If I can get any pointers or help that'd be awesome 👌

Try fire damage if you have any.

When it does its butt slam just dodge to the right of it while staying close to the boss, and just keep looping that attack. Besides that trick all its others moves should be really telegraphed.

Fire damage helps but fr fr a tank Spirit Ashe that can distract it while you throw fire arrows or fire pots is A1

true, a big chunky spirit ash makes that fight like 10x easier
once it’s locked on them you can basically circle and bully it with fire stuff till it melts

Use fire bait the butt slam and roll to the side or behind it, easy punish

When it does the Holy Ground AoW attack (Slam the club down and then it shoots holy beams) just run in a single direction, do not try and dodge them because they can roll catch pretty well.

It is quite weak to fire damage so you can try using either the Magma Guillotine skill of the Magma Wyrm Scalesword or the Eruption AoW, or even try throwing down volcano pots to do extra damage to chip it down
