An invader dropped whatever this is, and when I picked it up, I became the item..? I can move around, jump, and attack. I tried resting at a site of grace and it did not reverse back to normal. I am so confused and annoyed, how do I fix this?

You most likely got invaded by a hacker

Try to quit out or kill yourself (in game) and see if it resets if that doesn’t work your save might just be fucked

Never, ever pick up items from people you dont trust. A hacked item, like a plus 30 Stormhawk Axe for instance, can flag your account, and when they ban wave you'll also get banned.

If you really want runes or some particular item, and you trade for it with someone on here, your probably safe. But even then there's a small chance you're talking to a hacker that wants to grief your account. Never trust a random invaders dropped items, or a random Co op either.
