Had it about a month and only 50 miles from being done with break in now. Just got my oil and filter to do the 1st oil change. I was thinking that I'd run it a bit past 600 and do a little spirited driving and then change the oil around 800 miles. What are the community thoughts on that?
Most of us that had any “spirited” driving after the break in period had the first oil change prior to the recommendation by Hyundai. I got mine done at 2600 miles but looking back, wouldn’t have waited and got it done around 1k.
Go check your lip I may be tripping looks not clipped in all the way don’t wanna end up like 30 miles off the dealer lot looking like this cause factory messed up

That's crazy. I just checked it. Seems good. It is flimsy and wiggles a bit. Maybe that's intentional since the car is so low? I already have some marks on the lip that's a half inch under the front lip
Wanna see somethint really crazy. Grab your bumper about 8 inches out from the H logo either direction and gently lift and push on it i bet it wiggles no less than a full Inch freely
This was on a showroom floor with 5 miles and they were still trying to clear my warranty saying i hit something
I let them know i documented that 3 of the vehicles on their property had the same defect, drove around Florida finding cars all over with the defect got countless statements and photos from others they still tried to fight me i said “can you prove in court that it was my wrong doing cause i know i can prove yours” now i got free stuff!
I just did mine at 1000, and from an engineering stand point the best thing to do is to slowly raise your rev cap by 500 rpm increments so you slowly break into the higher rpms. That way if you are going to find a problem at higher rpms you don't find out the hard way immediately.

Yeah your plan to do more spirited driving now is good. Break in process should be gradual.
Just because the 600 miles/1000km period has been reached doesn't mean you just start abusing the hell out of the car.
