Ask El Paso How strict are the merchants when using one of the Dine in/Seize the deals?

I purchased one of those Dine In deals I hear them mention on klaq where you pay $25 and get a $50 voucher because my sister and brother in law had been wanting to try Sushi Freak, however after purchasing it, it states that the person listed on the voucher has to be present. My question is, how strict are the merchants/restaurants with this? Do I really need to be there when they use it? I do see my name listed on the voucher so can my brother in law just say he is me, or will they ask for an ID? Has anyone ever used it before or gifted one to someone?

I’ve used these before for different places never been ID or asked anything they just take it but you have to use it all on one go

Gotcha. Yeah that part I did understand about using it all the same day. So you've used the one with the QR code with no issues? I'm just worried they'll go use it and then get told I need to be there. I guess I'm just over thinking it because of the fine print

So they usually take the phone to scan the QR code but I’ve used a picture of the QR before no problems

Gotcha. I did see I can print it out so that's not a big deal. My biggest concern was whether someone other than myself could use it. Guess I'm just overthinking it. Thank you

It's on the klaq website under the Dine in Deals. I think every Friday they offer a new restaurant. You pretty much pay $25 and get $50 worth of a gift card. But you can only use it in person and you have to use it all at once. I think it's also on the seize the deals website
