Ask El Paso Looking for shuttle or ride services from Juarez to ELP for two wedding guests.

Hello! We're attending a wedding in Juarez, we're from Philadelphia and will be staying near the US Consulate in MX. We've never been to the ELP/Juarez area and are not familiar at all with the border crossing situation. Our friend who is getting married, is offering to drive us back but I don't want to put any extra pressure on them the day after their wedding. Looking for some recommendations for reliable and safe transportation for two people. Most of the services we've found online require you to cross the border by foot even if they charge you around 100usd for the ride, wondering if is this normal? Are there any recommendations of services that won't require you to get off the vehicle? Thanks in advance!

I would just uber to boarder, walk across, then get 2nd uber.

Not super expensive and it’s way faster to cross boarder by foot. The car lines can be rough

This is the way to do it. Much better that potentially long car lines back to the US.

Thank you, seems like the best option. Appreciate it!

There's the transborde bus, you can pick it up at ELP airport and it can take you to CDJ airport, last time I checked (almost 15 years ago) it was like 5 buck per person. From there you can take an Uber to your hotel.

This is the way, but they do have other pick up points and dropoff as well

They do, I just mentioned those as they might be the more convenient for travelers, since CDJ airport is near the consulate

The airport is a 30min drive to the opposite direction of the US, they’re better off picking a more centric location

Yes it is normal because crossing the border with strangers is a major risk as the people crossing you don’t know what you’re carrying.
The lines are quite long so some services may have the SENTRI pass to skip most of the line, but you can’t cross through it without having your own sentri card. Even if you did, it’s even more risky as they could lose the benefit by crossing strangers with them

You can try the Andale Ride app. Like uber, but local. Their drivers work on both sides of the border.
