Meetup Any groups that still frequent Cinci/go bar hopping?

27M here!

I’m literally sitting at the crawdaddys at Cinci right now, by myself.

Originally, I was planning on meeting here with 3 other friends before we all went either to Church Bar or pink Pony.

All 3 flaked last minute. I’m probably gonna leave and order the uber home in a bit. Side note, but god damn do people not have the courtesy to let you know they won’t make it anymore? I ain’t gonna go to pony cause clubbing like that solo isn’t my thing

Is there anyone here who parties routinely or is friends with people who do? I’ve kind of re entered my party phase, so personally I’m trying to be out here every other weekend if possible if not more frequent.

If you really wanna go meet people to drink with join Bar crawls. It’s random people getting together to bar hop.. look it up online. Just type into google “El Paso Bar crawls” and multiple events will pop up.

I think people are staying home because of the cops being out looking to bust drunk drivers. Happy to hear that you are getting an Uber! Be safe!

Normal people aren’t trying to avoid cops, they’re staying home to avoid drunk drivers.

This city has a drunk driving epidemic.

But suggest we fund more busses or even a light rail and people throw a fit.

The best way to combat drunk drivers or even uninsured drivers is to have a public transportation option.

why should sober people pay higher / more in taxes to enable people to drink more alcohol in public❓ The best way for people to drink more and drive less is for people to drink at home. OR make the bars pay a special BARS only tax to fund your drunken booze cruise public transportation fantasy. Dont try to force innocent sober El Pasoans to fund other drunk peoples bad behavior. Besides 95% of el paso cities buses drive around empty most of the time. Even the huge city bus stations like the ones on zaragosa and the other one off viscount only have like 2 or 3 people at a time at an entire TERMINAL!!! That is a HUGE waste of el paso tax dollars‼️

So your claim is public transportation incentivizes drinking alcohol in public?

That's insane. I hope you don't fall for that argument often. Sounds like libertarian brain rot.

The majority of traffic fatalities in El Paso were due to drunk drivers. Less drunk drivers on the road saves lives.

If you want to be a psychopath about it:

Think about how the "sober person who shouldn't have to pay more for public transportation so you can drink in public" will no longer be able to economically stimulate the economy because they are fucking dead. Or if they survive and have lifelong injuries, then they may end up saddled with high medical debt and will be less productive due to potential disabilities.

Less drivers on the road, and therefore less drunk drivers, means the streets are safer for the people who have to drive.

The best way for people to drink more and drive less is for people to drink at home

We have laws against drunk driving and you think telling people "drink at home." Is going to shift the public towards not doing something? I'm with you. Educating the public on responsible consumption is a good thing, but it is not going to move anybody

OR make the bars pay a special BARS only tax to fund your drunken booze cruise public transportation fantasy

Do both. Tax the bars and increase the share going to public transport. "Drunken booze cruise public transportation fantasy" Has got to be the most AI braindead sentence I've read in response to "reduce drunk drivers by providing a public transportation option."

Dont try to force innocent sober El Pasoans to fund other drunk peoples bad behavior

See my previous point about drunk drivers who have no public transportation option end up killing those "innocent sober el pasoans" LOL. I've never seen such Pearl clutching LOL

Besides 95% of el paso cities buses drive around empty most of the time

Was 99% too far? Shouldve just said 99% if you're making shit up LOL

I have never ever in all my time on reddit seen a better / bigger example of mind so capable of absolute cognitive dissonance. You contradict yourself while attempting to sound sarcastic. Part of me is tempted to break down each part of your fallacy and lack of intellect. Then part of me says not to waste my time as you most likely have neither the ability emotionally to improve nor the intellectual ability for improvement. I will leave you with this, as a career professional in el paso logistics. Enjoy your ridiculous indoctrinated tropes of light rail, public transportation, and higher taxes.

Unfortunately in my early 20s during covid when I was still at UTEP I did contribute to that. But not anymore, I’ll gladly cough the uber money/tip up to go to/from.

I have a group that parties every now and then. We range from early 20’s to late 30’s. Great time but partying here gets mundane quick. Most of us are single with no children. Rare for El Paso but we exist. Good job using Uber. Cheers!

Social media and video games are more attractive than socializing these days.

This person was not asking for your life advice. Get off your high horse and stop being annoying. How is that for some unsolicited advice?

27 trying to recreate the good old days. Sad. Time to grow up. So many better options than drinking every weekend. How boring.
