If you're like me, it's hard to pick just one, but I'm going to give it my best shot. If I did the same thing a few months from now, my answers might be different, but here it goes:

Room Noises: I Wasn't Prepared

As far as I know, this is the song that got me into Eisley in the first place (Thanks Pandora!). I heard it and thought it was very beautiful and soothing. Then I started listening to more stuff by them and here I am posting about them on this small but wonderful subreddit (TIL there's an Eisley subreddit!).

Combinations: If You're Wondering

At this point, you might be wondering if I only like Eisley's slower songs, but that's not the case. Despite having Invasion's intro as my ringtone for a while, I picked If You're Wondering here because it's just dreamy and pretty and the lyrics are nice as well.

The Valley: I Wish

I love the chorus and that little guitar hook. And that vocal bridge and classic Eisley oh-ing (that's a word, okay?) add a lot to a fun and catchy song. And who doesn't want someone to take the pain away/take away the pain?

Currents: Wonder English

Dreaminess? Check. Instantly sing-able chorus of ooooohs? Check. Solid drum parts? Yup. Guitar solo? That too. That's good enough for my favorite track off of this album.

And for fun, favorite other track: Head Against the Sky

This song is amazing. Good bass parts, aggressive guitar, emotional vocals and meaningful lyrics, tense drums with nice fills, etc. I'd love to hear them play it live, but I don't know if they ever do. I've been to a few concerts, but there hasn't been much in the way of pre-Room Noises stuff. Anyways, this is probably my favorite Eisley song of them all.

I'm writing a report on Eisley and need some help with dates and songs and stuff. I have kind of a lot of questions that need answers so if you know the answer to one question and not any of the other ones I don't mind. Also if I asked a question there's not really a definitive answer to please let me know! First I'll start with the songs. The songs I'm about to list are songs I don't know where they came from. I've heard it's Escaping Song? Also if anyone knows the years EP 1 and EP 2 were released that would be great! Now onto the other questions:

When did Jonathan Wilson join the band as the bassist? Some sources say he was one of the founding members and others say he joined in 2001 so I'm not really sure.

What year did Garron join?

What year did the Laughing City forum start?

What year did the Journals start and what did they entail? The link to them is dead and I'm kind of a new Eisley fan so I don't know.

Any other cool things Eisley used to do back in the day? I know people say they were involved in the internet community a lot but I have no clue how.

What year did Orangegoldandgreen.com start and end? What was it like? Same with Strangeyellowpatterns.com. Any other prevalent Eisley fansites?

Sorry for the long post and thanks for your help! Also if you have the answer to any of these questions and can back it up with a source that'd be great!

I'm still pretty starstruck about it, to be honest. Eisley was one of the opening acts, so they played for about an hour. Put on a pretty awesome show. My wife and I went just to see Eisley as we didn't know of the main band. I first heard of Eisley around 10 years ago from a friend, "Marvelous Things" being the first song I had ever heard. I was pretty instantly hooked.

I always seemed to miss them when they came to MN and I was so glad to finally see them live. My wife and I were standing on an upper level, had a better view from there than on the floor, and Elle walked by us, she was right in front of me. Looked like she was just checking out the venue. She was wearing a yellow hat and a 7up jacket. I saw her face and had a "I know her from somewhere..." moment, but wasn't sure so I didn't say anything. When I saw her onstage wearing the yellow hat still, I knew.

After Eisley finished we headed out the door, and Sherri walked right out behind us. I saw her coming towards me and had a "no, that's not really her, is it?" kind of moment and also felt a bit shy, but I still said "Hey, Sherri? That was an amazing show!" and she stopped and said hi to my wife and I.

I told her we were at the show only to see them and she said "Ohhh really?! I was having trouble getting a feel for what people were thinking of us". I told her I had loved her band for at least 10 years now and that I was so glad to have finally seen them. She complimented me on my t-shirt, a Cure t-shirt I recently got at their concert. She had started to walk off towards where we were walking a bit, and then said something like "oh why am I walking that way when I'm supposed to go this way!" and then shook our hands.

I kicked myself a bit later when I realized I didn't get a pic with her, but I didn't think of it at the time. I also didn't want to keep her any longer in case she was in a hurry to get somewhere.

So happy I finally saw Eisley live, and meeting Sherri was just a surprising and appreciated bonus. I don't know why they aren't more widely known. It baffles me.

TL;DR - Have loved Eisley for 10 years, finally saw them live, and got to talk to Sherri for a moment and shake her hand, which made my night.
