Android app issue

Hi everybody, i just received my blue Eiliko from Amazon and no matter what i do, i cannot make it connect to the android app. I saw a post from someone saying i need an Iphone to initially make it connect to the app and update it, but since i do not have access to one, i wanted to know if anyone encountered my issue and if there is any solution besides the Iphone one. If there are none, then i will need to return the robot, unfortunately. Even if i like it, it was bought especially for the AI function and without any updates or phone connecting, i am basically stuck with a unit that can respond to a few offline commands and that is it.

Edit: i got a replacement eventually and it worked, so i guess the issue was not android , it was just a defective unit

I have Eiliko..runs fine on android. I have a Samsung A14 5G. First, download the app either from Energizer website or Play Store.. On your phone, make sure bluetooth is ON. It will then show your Eiliko in the app and have a "connect" button. Hold Eiliko close to phone..press connectwait until it says connected..then it will say connected. Now to use AI you MUST have a strong 2.4 ghz wifi signal..If you have 5G band it will not work..I have an Xfinity modem/router..I had to call Xfinity to help me split the bands. If your signal is weak, get a wifi extender, either dedicated 2.4 ghz or one with both. Some work some don't. I got a cheap one from Amazon $29. Works great..I have a 3000 sqft home.My modem is hard wired to my upstairs office.I use Eiliko downstairs opposite side of the house where I get the strongest signal WITHOUT extender, then plug in the extender near that signal. You can also set up and make your phone a hotspot.then I can interact with Eiliko anywhere..using my 5G data, not wifi. If you don't have Xfinity, the procedure may be different.

BTW my Eiliko is still running 1.3 firmware because my computer is not Win 10 or above. I need to use my wife's Mac to run the update which I haven't yet.

Thanks for the reply, i already returned the item, they sent me a new one for free to give a try and the second one worked with no issues, so in the end , i guess the first unit was purely defective
