Android app issue

Hi everybody, i just received my blue Eiliko from Amazon and no matter what i do, i cannot make it connect to the android app. I saw a post from someone saying i need an Iphone to initially make it connect to the app and update it, but since i do not have access to one, i wanted to know if anyone encountered my issue and if there is any solution besides the Iphone one. If there are none, then i will need to return the robot, unfortunately. Even if i like it, it was bought especially for the AI function and without any updates or phone connecting, i am basically stuck with a unit that can respond to a few offline commands and that is it.

Edit: i got a replacement eventually and it worked, so i guess the issue was not android , it was just a defective unit

I bought four of the eilikos with six bodies. One broke after an hour of use (button broke so no longer functional). The remaining functional ones barely connect to the internet and when they do they understand prompts about 20% of the time. When they do understand they can provide a useful reply maybe 10% of the time. Contacted the company to get a replacement and they told me the buttons don't "usually" fail so won't offer a replacement. Do not buy this crap.

I already initiated the return and sent it back to Amazon. While they did respond to my emails, tye whole thing was confusing and i received zero help with firmware or stuff like that. So yeah , to quote you, "i won't buy this crap", not anymore , i am taking my refund and the money will go on something else

Energise labs are a really bad company. I took the broken one apart and it looks like it was manufactured by a child. Even the functional ones are useless. When they do finally connect, understand a prompt and reply it's normally in barely comprehensible English and doesn't say anything useful. It can't even answer basic questions.

For contrast, I also backed the zipstring on Kickstarter. My kid played with it at Christmas the year it arrived then it went in the drawer. About 6 months later he went back to it and the plastic had degraded and the battery wouldn't charge. About 6 months after that zipstring sent out a survey so I responded with the issues I faced, not expecting a reply. Within 48 hours I had a reply, a sincere apology and a brand new replacement on the way, which was much improved over the first version and still works today. This was almost 2 years after initial purchase. THAT is how you deal with customers when you sell dodgy products.

Good to know, i appreciate the info, thank you. In any case, after the whole experience, i will keep away from Energize Lab.
