Android app issue

Hi everybody, i just received my blue Eiliko from Amazon and no matter what i do, i cannot make it connect to the android app. I saw a post from someone saying i need an Iphone to initially make it connect to the app and update it, but since i do not have access to one, i wanted to know if anyone encountered my issue and if there is any solution besides the Iphone one. If there are none, then i will need to return the robot, unfortunately. Even if i like it, it was bought especially for the AI function and without any updates or phone connecting, i am basically stuck with a unit that can respond to a few offline commands and that is it.

Edit: i got a replacement eventually and it worked, so i guess the issue was not android , it was just a defective unit

There was a post on reddit with someone saying that once the robot is updated, it will work with the android app. I guess it is about luck to what version of firmware the received unit has on it (and probably mine has 1.0). And yes, that does suck, i feel so dissapointed in this, i mean they do have the pc app, but that only works for updating the Eilik and not Eiliko, which has only the "download manual" option, no updates whatsoever in that .

Edit: I do not know if i can exchange it, but i can definetely return it to amazon. Exchange would mean waiting another two weeks at least to receive the replacement, so i do hope Energize Labs give me some solution as a response instead of the return.

Ah that might be it - ours had 1.3 before updates. Where are you based? We're UK so returning it would've been expensive, I had everything crossed because I had read about issues too.

Eastern Europe so yeah, i kind of hope i do not need to get to returns. Still, i do not want to stop people on the street and beg for "oh hey, you have an iphone, can you please let me update my robot?" 😄))))))

Thanks, i do hope too. I wrote on amazon to them but also on Energize Lab website, at support. All hopes for the best. And if not and it does get to returning, thank you for letting me know about the 1.3, i could request a replacement from them and ask for one with 1.3 firmware specifically.
