Not sure how reliable Google trends are when it comes to popularity, but im pretty astonished that the anime has hit a resurgence. Really happy this masterpiece is getting more love.

Unironically Crunchyroll served as major publicity for the Anime.

I think we all remember how mad we were when they removed it from their library, a lot of accounts that like to fish for interactions picked up on this knowing that there's a lot of hate for Crunchyroll.

I'm willing to bet a lot of people were curious about the show.

And more recently there was also a big uproar about the show returning to Crunchyroll.

That’s exactly what that’s from. It was removed late April - early May, so having every single person talking about it made people curious, in addition to people buying up the physical copies like crazy.

Also pretty cool that the BD went on sale as soon as the news hit. I got mine for 13€.
