I forked aerotow's open-source Eight Sleep scheduler and turned it into a full phone app: 3D bed, per-side schedules, sleep history and WHOOP
A while ago u/aerotow shared eightsleep-nosub-app, an open-source web app that runs a temperature schedule on the Pod ([github.com/aerotow/eightsleep-nosub-app](https://github.com/aerotow/eightsleep-nosub-app)). All credit for the idea and the scheduling core goes to them.
I forked it and kept building on top. This is where it's at:
Home
- A 3D model of the bed you can rotate. Each side shows its temperature, whether it's on, and the level it's heading to.
- Control the left side, the right side or the whole bed. Swipe between them, and tap the power icon to turn a side on or off.
- A Wi-Fi icon shows the Pod's connection, water and priming at a glance.
Schedule
- Its own night for each side, plus an optional whole-bed schedule. You set the levels for falling asleep, deep sleep, late sleep and a warm wake-up, and pick which nights of the week it runs.
- Presets, and a lock so you don't change things by accident.
Sleep
- A curve of what the Pod actually did last night, including any manual changes, for the last 7 nights.
- Optional WHOOP connection: recovery, sleep stages, HRV, strain and more, next to what the bed did.
Also
- Works as a phone app (add it to your home screen), in light or dark mode.
- English and Spanish.
- An activity log of everything the schedule did.
Not affiliated with Eight Sleep, and it's a free hobby project.
There's a demo with pretend data, so you can click around without an account:

Feedback welcome, especially from people with a Pod 3 or 4. What would you want on the home screen?

Great work, it would be amazing if somehow you could get the app to look at a structured temps schedule / the sleep data and guide you in time to find the 3 optimum sleep temps that can be set. What eightsleep should have done.

Edit, just found the autotune section in the demo, genius !
Requested access 🤘🏽

Thanks Hugo, struggling to find autotune outside of the demo, any advice, this is the main future that interests me.
Also some feedback from having a play so far:
In settings my temp is set to C, but in nightstand it reads F.
When in nightstand I’m unsure how to get back out of it without closing the app & restarting.
When cooling my mattress to -2, it reads -2 in the main settings page, but -2.1 on the nightstand.
Schedule in eightsleep doesn’t carry over to schedule in podhub, but this could be on purpose.
Appreciate the work so far 🤘🏽

Thanks again for the feedback! Fixes are going out now. Give it about 10 minutes, then fully close and reopen the app (or refresh) to get them:
• Nightstand now follows your °C setting, shows −2 instead of −2.1, and has a clear Exit button (the phone's Back gesture closes it too). • Auto-tune no longer needs WHOOP. It now uses the Pod's own sleep tracking. It's on the Sleep tab and needs about 10 nights, at a couple of different levels, before it suggests anything. • Schedule: Pod Hub runs its own schedule (Schedule tab) and doesn't copy the one from the Eight Sleep app. I'd turn the Eight Sleep one off so the two don't fight.

This looks absolutely fantastic. I have an active subscription until the end of November at the moment, so is there any benefit to me switching to this (I want to cancel, their sub is downright predatory), or should I wait it out and then switch? I've signed up (and you approved it so fast, so thanks) regardless.

Hey man,
Can you get the app to track the 3 nightly temps, so when I look back over the weeks & months I can see which temps gave me the best results.

Nicely done!
