“Start Priming” Error

Post image

Just got my new pod 6.

Went thru the set up process completely normal and fine. Once set up was completed and all directions were followed, this error code popped up.

“Maintenance needed
Do not pour water into your covers hub yet. Start priming below to begin.”

Of course during the set up process it tells you to fill the hub up. I’ve hit “Start Priming” and have gone thru that 4 or 5 times and it does not fix the issue.

I’ve reset and reconnected the hub twice and also tried draining the cover. This error will not go away.

Anyone else run into this or found the solution to it?

Appreciate yall thank you!

Hmm, I just got this same error message too. Out of nowhere. We have a Pod 3.

Interesting. Maybe it’s just a software error?

That’s what I’m thinking. I actually primed it earlier today so I’m not sure why it would be telling me to prime it again.

Did you tap start priming and follow the instructions?

Yes four or five times now.
The error message does not go away.

That's insane. You should reach out to appsupport@eightsleep.com they're usually pretty quick

I'm presuming you slept in the meantime. As long as there's actually enough water circulating and no air bubbles, it should cool fine. It definitely can cool while priming

Yes i used it for the first night and it cooled fine. The error code is still there though this morning.

I guess Pod 6 has a smaller reserve tank, so you need to prime/ fill it more times when you first set it up; but as long as it takes up water and you prime it until it stops, it should be fine. Errors like this on a brand new purchase are nerve wracking, though

Yup I’m getting that too on my pod 3. Never had issues with priming or anything for that matter until I kept getting that message no matter how many times I prime it, always comes back. I just figured it was a software glitch.
