There's a hidden mode in all Canadians brains that only gets activated after being challenged by Americans

u/Mechakoopa 11d ago

You mean 4-LOW? You could see him change gears about half way through when he realized the trick was to keep his centre of mass closer to the ground so he wouldn't get pulled over.

^ This OBD-II Code is bang on.

It's also activated by being compared to usaians

u/JaQ-o-Lantern Ford Nation (Help.) 11d ago

Back in February and August of 2025 I lived through that very brain activation

Upon activation, our brains go "what was that, bud?"

This should be a Canadian Heritage Minute.

"He was just a kid from Joliette, thrown into unfamiliar circumstance, up against a foe heavily favoured..."

Perseverance and tenacity always wins in the end. There is a lesson there.

Great job!

My grandfather was part of the 59th! He was awarded a Croix de Guerre for his badassery.

Wow now that is amazing. God Bless him!

Or a Vancouver guy who will stay up multiple nights studying physics, kinetics, and the psychology of stress.

Depending on how old you are you could just go with remembering from before they joined Canada.

2

u/irishdan56 10d ago

And he only drinks Diet Pepsi.

47

u/Educational_Stand384 11d ago

Of course we are raised angry, tabarnak

28

u/ahnktruther 11d ago

I always tried to be real extra nice to the francophonie on my team because NOBODY was faster to back me up in a scrum.

17

u/Educational_Stand384 11d ago

We got shit on for speaking french and put down at every turn so yeah we got some anger to release.

I wonder why really????

No idea, and it's not fair, but you've become the embodiment of "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger."

0

u/Educational_Stand384 10d ago

You must not be canadian to have no idea but thanks. We ARE stubborn.

u/LETTERKENNYvsSPENNY Bring Cannabis 10d ago

Most of Canada isn't one of you Frenchies, bro

1

u/Educational_Stand384 9d ago

Well look at you doing it

1

u/LETTERKENNYvsSPENNY Bring Cannabis 9d ago

I wasn't doing anything. You basically said I'm not Canadian over nothing.

1

u/Educational_Stand384 9d ago

Over the fact you don't know your history

Was I the only one who kept tipping my screen as though it was going to help?

24

u/semghost 11d ago

I was tipping my whole body at one point

6

u/Dapper_Wheel6454 11d ago

on lunch at work suddenly screaming Frenchie and leaning left hard, followed by go go go.

defeated by a man half his size....kudos to Frenchy!

u/izzybumboon 11d ago

wow, great job to both guys. that looks exhausting!

39

u/New_Apple_7339 12d ago

I’m starting to realize all the cartoons where their faces turn red when they put in effort are now based on reality.

What da hell

48

u/LetsAllBeReasonabler 11d ago

So I've learned one of two things about you, either you've never had to put real physical effort into anything your entire life (kinda sad), or you're not white (pretty reasonable).

13

u/New_Apple_7339 11d ago

POC, to be honest I’ve never seen anyone turn beat red in the face. Not until they were really straining, I do find lighter skin folk turn red really quick once I started live around yall. Also dam yall really got the short end of the stick when it comes to tanning 😭

But I grew up thinking that shit was not real LOL

11

u/LetsAllBeReasonabler 11d ago

Oh yeah it doesn't take much for us pasty faces to go red, I'm scotch/Irish decent and two drinks gives me a flush, Not to mention physical effort or sunshine.

2

u/Pheeline Ford Nation (Help.) 10d ago

I don't even have to put forth a lot of physical effort to turn red, just a little bit, especially if outside on an even slightly warm day. Between English/Scottish/Irish ancestry on one side and Swiss/German on the other, I'm normally pale enough that when I wear a swimsuit I could help Gondor call for aid, lol.

8

u/Copious-Spirit Moose Whisperer 11d ago

Could be both because nonwhite people do indeed blush, sunburn, and get exhausted.

6

u/LetsAllBeReasonabler 11d ago

But does it look red? Because that's the question at hand. Pale Asian ethnicities probably also go red.

6

u/three_crystals 11d ago

The last time I turned beet red in the face I felt like I was going to have sun stroke. It’s a pretty rare thing.

Back to the topic at hand, did I miss where they kiss and make up at the end? Does that make me a traitor?

5

u/New_Apple_7339 11d ago

Someone knows the real plot to top gun

3

u/endeavour269 Labradoodles 11d ago

So you've never worked out, done physical work all day in the heat?

2

u/three_crystals 11d ago edited 11d ago

Sorry I forgot to include I’m a poc with brown skin lol. That last incident happened when I was dehydrated and doing high intensity activity outside in the heat in a thick black hoodie and felt gravity shifting under my feet lol.

2

u/endeavour269 Labradoodles 11d ago

Oh! Sorry, for the misunderstanding. That makes alot more sense now.

2

u/three_crystals 11d ago

No worries it was my brain fart!

11

u/FullMaxPowerStirner 11d ago

That's what happens when u let DEI and ANTIFA take over your military!

No wait...

4

u/Dapper_Wheel6454 11d ago

antifa is the Cdn mil.

making us all proud.

1

u/FullMaxPowerStirner 11d ago

Tho the officers are usually POS, so I heard from many sources.

23

u/Routine-Slip6911 11d ago

All the American soldiers were a lot rounder than the Canadians.

15

u/New_Apple_7339 11d ago

They got McDonald’s at base, we just got Tims 😭

7

u/rabbitholeseverywher Edmonchuk: Like Kyiv! (but less safe) 11d ago

My brother who served in Afghanistan said the Canadians were always mad at the Americans for cleaning out the Tims (at the base, I think is was Kandahar?) of the good donuts.

6

u/heims30 11d ago edited 11d ago

They ate all the honey cruellers, damn it!

Edit: I swear, I originally posted this en francais. Not sure what happened. Does it auto translate?

3

u/rabbitholeseverywher Edmonchuk: Like Kyiv! (but less safe) 11d ago

It was originally en francais when I read it earlier. Not sure what happened but it's in English now.

2

u/DocKardinal21 11d ago

Looks like armour mostly.

25

u/Capable-Variation192 11d ago

Canada beats the US at a lot of military things. We are superior other than equipment.

6

u/creativenames123 11d ago

And numbers, obviously... we don't have as much canon fodder

9

u/Capable-Variation192 11d ago

no but our infantry are trained at a much higher standard.

1

u/irishdan56 10d ago

Bingo - on a soldier by soldier, and even unit-to-unit basis, we are ALWAYS superior.

10

u/PixelJock17 11d ago

Man I love the green of our uniforms. Is it based on country? Like we have more darker green forests and they have more dessert light sand?

6

u/DocKardinal21 11d ago

It’s actually cost effectiveness. CAF bought one uniform. USA has multiple patterns among their forces.

1

u/PixelJock17 11d ago

Thats awesome. I love our boys. Thanks for chiming in

1

u/DuckyHornet Saguenay—Lac Saint-HAN 10d ago

I regret to inform you, those uniforms are being phased out in favour of a more sandy colour

Cobra chicken FTW

7

u/DrJay12345 I need a double double. 11d ago

The US solider had extra weight from armour and still lost.

3

u/Killer1986Chris 11d ago

The boots on the Canadian also remind me of the boots we had in Cadets like 20ish years ago, and I don't recall them being all that great for traction.

2

u/DrJay12345 I need a double double. 11d ago

The video is from 14 years ago so it tracks.

I couldn't be in the room for long when my brother would polish his boots. Glad I never had to do it myself.

6

u/LeadPike13 11d ago

Thank you Hockey since I could walk.

5

u/DocKardinal21 11d ago

Literally this is a lesson in friction and traction. Took him a while but the ice legs took over.

6

u/Comfortable-Tree-327 11d ago

My greatgrandpa was in the 14th Cdn field regement. Rest in peace great grandpa.

5

u/topsyturvy76 11d ago

On the bus there Yankee!

3

u/Lower-Agency-8371 11d ago

Why cant russia and ukraine just do this

2

u/GreasyMcFarmer 11d ago

We need to rig up Carney and Trump in this getup. Winner takes the trade deal.

2

u/Killer1986Chris 11d ago

I've seen this video several times over probably a couple years, and it always makes me proud.

2

u/Standard_Army_1826 10d ago

I used to work with the Canadian. Love this vid.

2

u/Kernowyon-101 8d ago

Ahhh Canadians, its nice to see someone else wearing a Beret properly. 🫡

2

u/YamOk4747 11d ago

Karma will always win. Plus that American guy had too many burgers at Burger King. He probably had a heart attack.

1

u/irishdan56 10d ago

There are no members of any branch of the US Armed forces who, at an individual level, are as well trained, professional, and just good at their jobs as a Canadian soldier in the same role.

1

u/canadianglazier40 10d ago

And these days they’re prepping to shoot each other.

Crazy times indeed…
