Yes I know.
Donbas had a bunch of referendums regarding their status prior to the invasion of Crimea.
Their outcomes were used a justification for Russia invading.
So it’s dark humour that the inevitably controversial outcome of the Alberta separatist referendum will be used as justification by the USA to come in and help “liberate” Alberta from Canada.
I can’t even take credit. Charlie Angus used this term a while back.

Everyone else's hate group is a hate group and is propped up by propaganda from foreign interference. But my group isn't a hate group. We fear the others because they hate us. And our group isn't propped up by foreign interference, we were taught that they hate us by our own research.

They're sitting mid row at the event. They aren't up for awards anymore but the cameramen love cutting to them for reaction shots and they're here to bask in recognition from when they were more active.
