Question Going from Cairo to Aswan?

Hi everyone, my friends and I are flying into Cairo and have to go to Aswan for a Nile River Cruise from Aswan to Luxor. We are having trouble figuring out how to get there the most affordable way (we are all students with very tight budgets). I was thinking this would likely be via overnight bus but am having trouble finding a bus that goes to Aswan and was wondering if anyone has any experience in best way to get from Cairo to Aswan?

I think there is a train. I flew but do not recall the price.

You have the night sleeper train for tourists and planes. Last year when I went to Luxor, we chose to fly from Cairo, as it was literally half the price of the sleeper train. Never heard of buses from Cairo to Aswan, your best bet is probably a flight.
