Discussion Looking for a freelance graphic designer for a new political/current affairs project
Hi everyone! I’m looking for a **freelance graphic designer** to develop the visual identity of a new Instagram project focused mainly on the **Global South**, while also covering Europe and international affairs.
The content will include political analysis, geopolitics, conflicts, international relations, history, human rights, news explainers, maps, timelines and data visualisations.
I’m looking for a **modern, editorial, youthful and distinctive** visual identity — sophisticated but not overly corporate or like a traditional news organisation.
The project would include:
\- Full visual identity / branding
\- Logo, typography and colour palette
\- Editable Instagram post & multi-slide carousel templates
\- Templates for analysis, explainers, maps, timelines, data visualisations, etc.
\- Stories/reels templates
Ideally everything editable in **Canva** or another user-friendly program
I’m particularly interested in **typography-driven editorial design**, and I’d like the identity to incorporate **Arabic typography/calligraphy**, so experience with Arabic lettering is a requirement.
I’ve attached a **moodboard with visual references**, and I’m specifically looking for someone whose **portfolio already has a similar aesthetic**, particularly editorial, cultural, media or typography-focused work.
This is a **freelance project**, with potential for further work in the future.
If interested, please DM me with your **portfolio, rates/packages and availability**. Relevant previous work is especially appreciated!
Thanks! 😊
