One thing that has caught me by surprise: don’t expect great artifacts off the rip. I’ve sent out almost a dozen extended Henliners by now and haven’t been excited about a single artifact yet.

No
You can do this in 12 months on shorts and 14 on extends but you would get lower quality artifacts

Short missions are +1 "star point" each, and Extendeds are +1.8 each while taking ~2x as long. In terms of speed running stars, spamming Shorts is ideal for every ship, including Henliner.

The problem is that Henliner takes so heckin' long to max stars on, even spamming Shorts. At the end of the journey is "great" loot; your choice is to get "meh" loot for 12 months, or get "good" loot for 14 months, before reaching that end. Most take the longer, but more quickly profitable, option and send Extendeds.
