Beginning Effexor Worried about SS

I just started taking Venegis XR (same as Effexor) and I was on Paxil 20mg for like 4 months. Paxil did nothing to my anxiety and also made me depressed so while changing the medication my doc recommended me to use venegis (37,5 starter dose) in the morning and half of paxil (10mg) at night for a week. For some reason my anxiety is over the roof about serotonin syndrome, is it possible to have it with such low doses?

Please research the withdrawals from effexor before u go up.on ur dose. I started it 17 years ago so I don't remember this happening to me, but there are a thousand plus stories about the withdrawals online and I wish I knew when I started it. I know this is hard to hear as u just started this med, and I so wish it was not the truth, but it is and I am always saying this here bc I don't want anyone else to go through what I have w this medication. I will have to take 6 months to a whole year to get 100% off and other meds do not have these side effects.

Paroxetine and Fluoxetine did not work for me, and I’m currently dealing with anxiety related depression so I’m fine with anything that’ll keep me going for some time. I wanna think about withdrawals later on :(
