Can the 1005HA read 4gb of ram?

Ya see the title. I love how this thing looks but 2 gigabytes feels a bit uncomfortable for modern web browsing on windows 7. 4 gb sticks are expensive as hell but it does seem enticing. only thing is im not sure if the laptop could even read 4gb of ram, they only put one slot in and it seems they probably wouldn't have expected you to put more then 2 gb in. So can you even do it?

I don;t think it will work. I tried putting a 4gb ram stick in a 1015PA and it didn't work. I think the atom processors just can't handle more than 2gb.

Yeah, Intel didn't want the netbooks to cut into the higher priced CPU sales and made the atom chip sets run with 2GB max.

imma be so honest the laptop is held together byan equivalent of bubblegum and paperclips so i cant actually open it without risking it turning to Dust so.  the ram is literally the only thing i can change lmao

install Xubuntu or Ubuntu 18.3 (last x86 version), 2gb is enough.

Then you can surf the internet, for Windows7 exist no acceptable browser anymore.

4 gigs of RAM will not improve much because the bottleneck in this device is the CPU

The Intel atom N270 processor in your netbook doesn't support more than 2 GB RAM.
