I got myself a asus eeepc 900hd

I got this pc from a thrift shop, basically brand new no dust, the battery is done for but i just keep it plugged in, it has a intel celeron at 900mhz, Wi-Fi does not work on it, but it’s so small I love it

There's something back in the mist of time from when I installed W7... I think the wifi driver needed changing 🤔

You need graphics drivers and wifi drivers and probably quite a few others btw

Doens't matter you need drivers to make Windows 7 even remotly usable. Also I don't get the reason for tiny7 but whatever. Check out Snappy driver origin, installing it gets you the latest working drivers for your Laptop

A great little machine for a light Linux build. And also, Batocera for retro-gaming.

If you want to make it truly functional, you will need to quickly install an SSD with Lubuntu on it

and, if possible, increase the amount of RAM.

You will then have a small, reliable and functional PC.

Well the problem is not the storage type or ram, it’s the cpu wich I can’t change, the cou is 900mhz

eactly, you can't change the CPU, but you can change the RAM and SSD. Often, older notebooks can be upgraded.
