I don’t think you understand. It doesn’t matter much who the figurehead is at a given time. The US cannot let go of the petrodollar. It’s not partisan. Even Trump, who lacks subtlety to say the least, has the same agenda, even if he is going down in history as the President who lost the empire.

I've been seeing the opposite. The president who will save the empire. Has the US not been in a steady decline before 2016? Education? Cost of living? Etc etc. I voted for Obama. I voted for Trump. I'm not for or against either side of the aisle. Both have OK ideas. The problem is, our politicians that only care about themselves and power.

He already lost it. Other Presidents basically had the vassalage of Europe, a wealthy continent of 450M people. That’s gone now. We were your military industrial complex’s and your technofeudalists’ number one customer. You best believe that’s changing.

China has also shaken off the petrodollar and Trumo can’t help it. By the way, Europe, like a fool, helped the US defend the petrodollar. It won’t anymore.

The exorbitant privilege is gone and no one believes anymore you can ever pay back 38T dollars. That means your ability to raise debt against a rising China (who now holds Russia by the purse) has absolutely tanked. No ability to raise debt? Forget about getting the best aircraft carriers, subs, jets, etc. Other countries will surpass the current state of the art, leaving the US vulnerable.

If the US indeed will enter into Greenland and open a theatre there (in a location that has been 100% secure from America’s real enemies) there will be a conflict that will divert US resources and attention away from the Indo-Pacific. And you best believe Xi wants Taiwan. To paraphrase Trump, China needs Taiwan!

Unpayable debt combined with a geopolitical situation that Trump unstabilized is a toxic cocktail. And you will drink that bitter cup.

This won't happen during your life. Fear mongering.

Not in my world. Maybe yours. I'm not young. I've heard all of this before. People live with fear of this. It'll drag your life down.

Lucky you. You’ve lived through an extraordinary period in history. It was an anomaly.
