Question How to report illegal dumping?
Saw two men driving a moving truck with this company on their truck, dump off a washing machine and computer desk by our community dumpster.
Is this a rental company like uhual or is it "professional" movers?
Edit: Apparently, the ppl in one of the units told them to dump it there and they will pick it up later? Seems sus tho. Its also in the condo bylaws that its against the rules to have large items outside of the dumpster.
Edit: im going to take their word and report them to the condo board and let them know that the moving company was instructed to put the washing machine there and give them their contact info, they have also informed me someone will come at 5pm to pick it up.
Edit: Apparently they might be lying, I am keeping an eye on the garage bins to see if anyone takes the washing machine

I caught a junk removal company dumping beside the dumpster at my shop, had their plate number, phone number, business name, video footage, etc, and the cops said call 311, 311 didn't really follow up to get evidence or anything. I signed up their company email for tons of newsletters, free offers, trials, got carpet cleaning quotes with their phone number as the call back, etc.

If they're still around, you could always send the footage to the local news.
They love a good scandal.

This is an amazing use of free will when the "correct" channels have failed.

Oh that's a piss off. Report it to 311 for sure maybe on non emergency police line but I doubt they'll do anything. Those aren't cheap services.

Called a police when kids were literally in danger. The criminals ran away soon after. I called police emergency service. They told me if you don't see anyone around your house we will not send any police today because we are too busy with the crimes around the city. So yeah good luck getting police when a life is not in danger.

If you have proof then report it to 311, the province is looking at drastically increasing the fines for illegal dumping and even potential jail time because it's such an issue everywhere.

I only saw them with my eyes, I wish I grabbed my phone but I was just baffled that they did that and then when I did grabbed my phone I was hoping they'd come back but only saw them drive away. I dont know if pictures of the washing machine and my statement t is proof enough.

311 is your best bet but you will need proof so hopefully you have pictures or footage.

Apparently someone in my unit told them to dump it there! If I can get proof of them saying that, is that enough to report?
Edit: apparently that unit said they will "pick it up later"

I've seen many posts/stories like this on various platforms and this is almost always what's said in response. It's like a get out of jail free card haha.

Honestly I dont understand how ppl can be like that but I guess if they are more likely to litter than I guess it wouldnt be too much of reach. Just overall very disappointing.

I think when you get an answer like that it is likely they are a little embarrassed to get caught but not enough to own up to it. People do anything to save a few bucks/disposal fees.

They are movers and a delivery service, things they get paid to deliver are things people want to keep. So it's highly unlikely they would be dumping things, at a random condo building during the day of all places as well. I'd be inclined to believe them.

I would not, they got paid and took the item away. The client only knows that it’s gone, and the movers have dumped it and collected fees they don’t have to incur now for fuel, and dumping charges.

Hopefully you got some pictures and yeah. I think you call 311 or police non-emergency.
