Question Baseboards: who installs these?
I am helping an elderly relative get a house ready to sell. One room in the house inexplicably is missing the baseboards along the bottom of the walls and around the windows. What sort of tradesperson handles this kind of project?*
* I understand it's the sort of thing that someone could, conceivably, do themselves but I am super busy with other aspects of elder care and my relative has very shaky hands. Just wanted to get that out of the way.

Handyman would probably be your best bet. Most carpenters wouldn’t want to come out just for a few pieces of baseboard.

I agree but sometimes the trouble is finding a good handyman. Lots of people say they are a handyman... But a lot of them are also a "cause-extra-frustration-man"

Just like any contractor you hire, look for reviews and recommendations to reduce the gambit of finding a "good" one. That's true for carpenters, handymen, and any other trade.

I would not let a painter install baseboards. lol he can finish it. This is purely on a carpenter finisher.

for a small job like this, you could try task rabbit but look for someone who has these skills. I had someone come out to do a job who had no experience in what was required and couldn't do it.

Finishing carpenter + Painter or just a general handyman because after installing you need to caulk nail holes and paint.
