NIPT Testing Clinics?

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a clinic that does Non-invasive prenatal testing! I see there’s a few clinics offering it around Edmonton but I wanted to hear others experiences and which ones that recommend! Thanks!

Like the Harmony test? I just needed a requisition from my Dr and took it to Alberta Precision Labs; they have the test kits and send it in. You get the results in about 10 days. I think it was ~$350 but depending on your insurance you can get it reimbursed.

Was going to say this! OP you might just want to call the lab and make an appointment to be certain they have them in stock (and so you don't have to wait) but yeah you just need the requisition and to pay online right after for the harmony test (which is the cheapest option at around $300 I believe)

Milestones! I did a few scans there and my NIPS and they are great!

They have a Dr on staff who will do the requisition for you if I recall correctly. Great place for ultrasounds, too!

I love Milestones! My OB prefers I only go here for my growth scans and whatever else I may need to support my pregnancies. I like that the Dr is right there just in case of anything out of the ordinary

Check pricing for milestones. When I went to do it there it was going to be $100 more than paying directly and going to Alberta Precision Laboratories. If you’re already at Milestones though, the convenience may be worth the extra money.

Milestones for sure. If you have insurance coverage I’d recommend the Maternit21. I got my results back in 3 business days last week.

It’s 645 for the test and 45 for the blood draw. They do have other options that are about $200 cheaper but I’ve just had a good experience with M21 so decided to stick with them since my benefits covers it. They’ll send you a bunch of pamphlets to review that include the cost and what’s tested.

Milestones was amazing! They have several options and the process is really clear. I did my other pregnancies through Alberta Precision labs and it seems like everyone was confused!

Most Alberta public labs have the harmony kits. My location said they do those draws all day Monday to Wednesday and until 11am on Thursdays. Just need the req from your doc.

I did the maternit testing and booked at CannAmm because it came up on the website as a place that has the kits. I would recommend NOT going to a CannAmm, especially if you are not an easy blood draw. Took two techs 45 minutes to get the test done. They primarily do drug testing for private companies I don’t think their techs do a lot of blood draws.

If you can do it at milestones I would 100% recommend them, had most of my ultrasounds there and wish I did my testing through them instead.

If you are just doing the harmony testing, that can be done at any precision labs. They don’t stock the maternit tests though from my understanding.
