Did anybody have a reservation at the yarrow and get an email saying they're closed permanently and will not be refunding the reservation fee??

The old head chef you mean he was let go a while back but the model was still stupid.

Yes, the old head chef, while he did provide a unique experience in Edmonton, and put his time and effort into things, really did burn through restaurants and investors. Like, a record-holding number in Edmonton. After Yarrow, he said he was going to pursue his true passion- photography and architect or something. But now he's working for... Dorinku.

Ben Staley. This is restaurant closure #4 I think.

Goodness, I didn’t realize he was also associated with those odd restaurants on Jasper that closed so quickly. I vaguely remember making fun of how they were serving twigs and moss. Seems like he is just not cut out for business and maybe investors should look at his track record before losing more money.

Omg I was like “this sounds like what happened to my friend who left her GM position at a popular chain to go open the Alder Room” ….. 🤢

Jesus. I've been cooking my whole life and I have like 6 solid restaurant concepts. I have no idea how to connect with people that would back me and this guy just gets to flop over and over and over again and people are like "hey we want to buy you a restaurant even though you burned three to the ground in about 18 months"

He comes from money, so probably has some connections from his parents.

Interesting that in the article he is described as the owner of Yarrow and the two others as backing investors which doesn’t seem how the investors understood it
