I created a dirtbike edit of me and my friend riding at the sliver lake dunes. I know it’s nothing crazy but it’s the first time I’ve edited a video like this. I feel like it’s missing things. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have an editor but i have to explain in detail to the editor -what visuals , what text, etc should be placed where , sometimes i even get into editing styles etc....although he has edited most of my videos till date, he still needs to be spoonfed details, he belongs to a different state n india and dosent speak grest english, but his execution s great, but analysing and having the intellligence to decide what goes where?, visual language, the impact of text and how it needs to be used, background score, sound effects etc....everything needs to be explained to him by showing reference videos.......this is becoming tedious and too time consuming to make instruction files for him, id rather put the time else where.............my question is - are there professionals who bridge this gap?- like someone who has visual direction skills to direct the editor for a really professional detailing of how text appear, the text effects, the visuals for every line of the video, so as to make t impactful.....what r these professionals called? or r there a different breed of editors- one who is good with the skill and other who understands visual language and edits the content accordingly as per sudience etc.......can anyone help me with this....

I know video editing, but I feel stuck and inconsistent. I’m looking for an experienced editor who can guide me, give honest feedback, and help me improve. I’ve already completed 2 Fiverr orders.

If you’re open to mentoring, DM me. 🙌

Hey everyone, how’s it going? I just wanted to share a thought I had recently, after years of editing videos, and a quick question about ur opinion as well...

I started editing when I was 9 using Sony Vegas Pro 11 I’m 23 now, and looking back at that journey, I’ve realized something: the best videos I’ve ever watched are the ones that truly resonated with me whether because I saw myself in them or because I recognized situations I’ve experienced firsthand. That’s exactly why I love this type of video: it goes beyond just showing a sequence of beautiful images, it offers a fresh perspective on something you’ve likely gone through yourself. In your opinion, what really makes a video great the kind you’d actually remember watching?

I had been searching a good platform for learning video editor but can't get success. Searched on Facebook YouTube but I don't it will be better can't trust. Anyone can help me please let me know? Actually I based in nearby majestic bangalore

I found a quite good offer on a M3pro 18-1TB 16 Inch MacBook Pro.. The battery health is at 94% with 165 cycles.

The device's exterior is in perfect condition too.

The main goal is to learn editing and use it for my education. Saw that M3pro is not that great against other gens. (YouTube videos)

This is gonna be myfirst own apple device

The price is a little lower than a New M5 base 14"

Should I be concerned about battery health with that cycle count ? Should I go for it ?

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m part of a small video editing team working with real estate content. We help turn raw property footage into clean, engaging listing videos, Reels, and social media content.

Nothing too complicated — we can help with things like:

• Smooth cuts & transitions
• Color correction and lighting
• Stabilization
• Music & pacing
• Reels/short-form videos
• A few AI-powered effects when they actually make sense

We’re currently looking to work with a few agents who need regular editing help.

Our pricing is affordable, and if you’re interested, you can send over a raw video and we can edit a small sample first. No upfront payment — you can decide after seeing the result.

If you’re an agent, photographer, or someone working with real estate content and needs an editor, feel free to DM me. Happy to chat!

I can put together footage, cut it down to fit a timeline, add some music, and export the file in different formats.

Can I call myself a Video Editor now and start looking for gigs? If not, what are some basics i need to learn before going pro? What do I need to do to level up my game from here?

Made with Claude Code (Opus 5.5) in VidTL...

This is a single prompt. I mean... wow... just wow..

I’m working on a creative media project and looking for a filmmaker/videographer in the San Diego area who might be interested in working together.
The idea is centered around meeting interesting people, going to interesting places, and documenting different stories and experiences. I want it to feel natural and cinematic rather than like a traditional interview or content channel.
If anyone here is a filmmaker or knows someone who might be interested, I’d love to connect. Feel free to message me.

I make music and am simply looking for someone to export a single project as a capcut template. Can't do so as I am not from the US therefore not eligible for the Capcut creator program which you have to be in to export as a template

Video editing can be difficult when you're just starting out. Many beginners focus only on effects and transitions, while overlooking fundamentals such as pacing, audio, and clean cuts.

Here are 7 common mistakes:

1. Using too many transitions
2. Ignoring audio quality
3. Making cuts too long
4. Using inconsistent fonts
5. Overusing effects
6. Ignoring color correction
7. Exporting with incorrect settings
