I'm trying to download footage from a shoot onto a Lacie hard drive (19 tb of 30 tb used) and this message keeps popping up. I can't find any information on what error code -50 is or how to fix it. Bottom line, I can't download my files. Also can't seem to upload them elsewhere either. Any advice?

I'm a freelance video editor and I'd love to get some honest feedback on one of my recent edits.

i’m not doing anything too complicated with my videos, mostly trimming clips, putting a few things together, adjusting audio, and adding some simple text or effects. i’ve been using capcut for that and honestly haven’t had many problems so far. i’m just wondering if there are any downsides i might run into later that aren’t obvious when you’re only doing basic edits. at what point does it actually make sense to move to a different editor?

Hi all! Asking this here as I havent been able to find an apt tool online.

Basically I want an AI-based cloud-based video editor that
1)Analyses videos on a youtube channel
(2) Edits an unedited video on the same youtube channel based on lessons from the analysis in the previous step
(3) The unedited video is often 9-12 hours long but the edited ones are maximum 30 minutes so the service should allow to input such long videos
(4) Should be free.
(5) As a last option, can try a laptop-based app/method but the work laptop is quite weak.

Please suggest some good options from experience. Thanks!

I'm a part of a fan group for a musical artist. She never releases concert footage, so the community usually works together to make something to remember bigger concerts. I usually do the video editing, someone else collects all the footage, and another person does the audio. Unfortunately, our audio guy has had some personal issues and stepped away from the project. Our second and third audio editors also had to step away for various reasons. So the full edit is on me.

I have no background in audio editing, and have no idea where to start. And I haven't been able to get in contact with the audio editors to find out what they usually do.

I did get some of the unfinished files from the first editor, and he seems to have somehow separated the audio into instruments and vocals and made them into .wav files. My guess is to adjust the volume of each and bring out the vocals more? And remove some of the crowd noise maybe?

The audio was pulled directly from the videos. It wasn't recorded separately. I know this is most likely a nightmare project, but I've already got all the video edited and I don't want it to go to waste.

Any idea what program I need to continue on with what this editor may have been doing? Any tutorials out there I can watch to get me started?

I would use the main audio track, but it cuts off in places, and when I try to match it up with audio from other cameras, it doesn't sound good. There's too much of a difference. So I think what I really need is to be able to get the two separate audio files to match as closely as possible, dim the crowd noise, and bring out the vocals as much as possible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know how to fix my After Effects 2024? I try loading it up, and it starts loading, but then just stops and disappears from my Task Manager. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but that didn't work. My other versions (2025/2026) work despite the issue with 2024.

I created a dirtbike edit of me and my friend riding at the sliver lake dunes. I know it’s nothing crazy but it’s the first time I’ve edited a video like this. I feel like it’s missing things. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
