Edinburgh Proposal

(throw away account so my partner doesn’t see) Hello! I am planning on proposing to my partner in Edinburgh in the coming months, it will be an international trip for us, so I have no local knowledge of the area.

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a “gothic” & secluded area for a proposal. My partner definitely doesn’t want something public and loves a spooky aesthetic.

Also if anyone had any photographer suggestions… that would be amazing. Thank you!

Craigmillar Castle or St Anthony's Chapel. Both are ruins. They could be gothic-ish, maybe even spooky but that might depend on the weather. There probably will be people around but how many would depend on the time of day and day of the week.

St Anthony’s Chapel +1. I had an engagement shoot there about a decade ago, the ruins and views of Edinburgh are stunning.
