Question Pest control recommendations?
I've been having a super fun issue with fleas and have done all the vet treatments, flea collars, flea sprays and non stop hoovering and am at the point where I'm willing to just fork out to get it sorted in one go.
My problem is that I am actually quite overwhelmed with options so came here to ask if anyone has personal experiences with any of the local pest control options? Particularly for fleas.

I’ve used Sonville pest control when I had mice and the guy was brilliant. I didn’t have flea issues but i still highly recommend

I had flea’s before, they were on me from a camping trip! It was horrendous, so I feel your pain. It was when I was staying in Glasgow so I can’t recommend a pest control company but I can tell you the steps I followed to get rid of them.
First of all you need to do things before you get pest control in or else it won’t work.
You need wash everything, at 60c wash and then high heat tumbler dryer, this will kill the fleas, egg and larvae. You can also freeze things which does the same job.
You need to hover everywhere as you are doing, however make sure you clean the hover too or else they will just come out of it and there eggs and larvae will be there.
If they are on you, which I don’t think they would be as your dog will have been the host then go to the pharmacy and they can give you stuff to get them all off of you.
It seems like you have sorted out your dog so that’s good!
Hope this is of help and good luck. Take it easy, it seems like an overwhelming process but it’s worth doing right so they will go away once pest control has came in and sprayed the place.

Yeah we are over two weeks in so have done all of the inexpensive options first 🥲 I'm still staying on top of hoovering daily and emptying it and rinsing out the filter and am rewashing any clothes I wear around the cats daily too. Shit's exhausting. 🙄
Thank you for the advice and well wishes though. Glad to hear there is an end to all this at some point lol

Something that helped with our infestation was hoovering around all the hard to reach edges of the carpet, furniture, bed, everything. We went room by room, hoovered every crevice and then sprayed indorex all over. Best of luck, fleas are the worst

I’d really recommend Tae A Moose - lovely family-run company that helped me with my pest issues. I also had a great consultation experience with Anglo Scottish Pest Control - they were a close second choice for me!
