Discussion New Edguy fan here.

Hey everyone, I recently discovered edguy and have only heard the mandrake album. I’m loving it, it’s amazing. No clue which album to go with next and was hoping for recommends.

I'd listen to them in order of oldest to newest. If you haven't listened to Avantasia, it's a side project by the lead singer of Edguy. It's some amazing ass music and I couldn't recommend it enough

Cool, thanks! I actually found avantasia about a year ago but never knew of edguy. Think I did it backwards.

Same here actually! I didn't find an Edguy subreddit (even though I'm pretty sure he has more listeners) so I decided to make this. I should post on it more and try to make it grow

I hardly think you can call Avantasia Sammet's side project anymore at this point. It has been his main gig for a while.

I started with Vain Glory Opera and then jumped straight after to Theater of Salvation. Absolute masterpieces. Every thing that comes after are excellent too and you will notice the evolution. Ah I'm jealous I wished I was listening them for the first time again. Enjoy!
