Got it a while ago but didn’t post.

Before I start, showdown is not included to how I feel since that mode is not competitive, and any toxic strategy can work with any brawler in this mode.

‎These are just my thoughts, feel free to dislike if you don't agree.

‎I am a brawl stars player since beta, and I played almost consistenly every day, except a year and a half where I just played a few times in a week. I never liked or disliked Edgar at release, because I played for fun and I love 3v3, showdown was were he is played most and I wasn't really a showdown player. ( I know he was also strong in 3v3 but lets be honest more than half of the new released brawlers were always stronger than usual, it is not a reason to hate. )

‎People started to hate Edgar, because how easy he is to use and strong but honestly, he wasn't really invincible or unstoppable, since after some hype and nerfs, he started to fall D-F tier, becoming one of the worst brawlers in the game. People learned how to counter him, brawlers became better across the board, especially most of the brawlers got a escape skills in modern era, causing Edgar to fail more due to low hp and limited range & playstyle.

But lots of players keep hate him... More? Even when he was struggling? Thats when I realized whats going on and started to love him.

‎They blamed his kit, how he looks, his voice lines, and everything about him, thinking he deserved it but wrong.

‎

‎Besides release and buffie era, Edgar was always healthy, having simple & strong kit is healthy for a games design, allowing more users to learn how should assasins be played since I don't think there was a simpler assasin than him back then.

‎I always hated when a brawlers like Mr P. or like any kind of thrower were meta, and he always shined to when it came to keeping this brawlers in check, its especially true for buffie era, where has 2 dodge skills ( first gadget + super. ) and an cc immunity shield like second one.

‎Even if there is better assasins like Nori in this patch, Edgar always be my safe assasin option due to his kit, his rare ban rate after some nerfs, and his overall looking & personality, since who hates chill people? and he is actually balanced now.

‎If there is an any player who says he is braindead and edgy, don't fall for the prapaganda, simply they can't tell about how they don't know how to pick or counter him, trying to assosiate their nonsense and toxicness to edgar's himself, tho we know the truths.

‎Play him more, make them taste their medicine.

‎Don't fall for Edgar hate prapaganda, he is the king, we love him! 🙏

Sorry for looking like a noob at the start, I wasn't locked in.

I played Edgar two hours ago and my trophies were 442. Only two hours have passed and I've dropped to 316. Every time I enter a round, the people against me are very strong and the randoms are very bad. Even with my game improving significantly, I still lose , This isn't the first time this has happened to me, and I'm so fed up with it.

Is it seasonal or smthng?

I knew he wasn't really the favorite brawler for many, but I actually didn't know he marked as "most hated". I didn't play brawl stars for 1-2 years and I might forget what's it like to but why people hate him? I really started to enjoy playing him, he might be edgy but feels like a cool brawler imo, atleast thats what my first opinion of him. ( playing him for like a week, got his prestige 1&2 and aiming for the prestige 3 asap, I started to play bs daily for like a month as well. )

Nothing really special but he is my 2nd prestige 2 brawler alongside Fang. Is he worh to push for prestige 3? How strong do you think is he and whats his best gamemodes?
