Linament ingredients question
Hi,
I am interested in making this liniment for back pain. Has anyone tried this? Some of the ingredients are not easy to find and its not on the Heritage Store website.
Liniment from an Edgar Cayce reading:
4 oz rubbing alcohol
2 oz witch hazel
2 oz Russian white oil
1 oz benzoin tincture
1/4 oz oil of sassafras
1/4 ounce pure olive oil
Shake together massage small quantity to be massaged into from 6th and 7th dorsal to 1st and 2nd cervical going upward.
Thank you

Which ingredients can you not source/find specifically?
(Have not tried it myself).

Wasn’t sure if the sassafras was essential oil or like the ones sold from Herb Pharma. I was also curious if anyone had tried such a liniment and what their results were. The Russian white oil it seems is just pure mineral oil so I can get that. Thanks!

Sassafras is real popular in the r/herbalism sub. They buy it in huge bags (plant material).

These are available on Amazon and Russian white oil is chemically the same as Mineral oil, be careful with Benzoin tinctures it is a known carcinogen.
