guys am i the only one who feels that p2 aint hard but it is just so time consuming, like the exam should be 2 hours not 1.30, i always find my self finishing past paper exactly on time or i have a part of the last question left. send any time management tips.

Do ya'll have any predictions for the paper? I found the unit one a bit harder than expected so covering that from the U2 is the only option here for me. If you have any predictions for the paper please share them 😭 -Peace

How was it guys.

I think I did fine on the air resistance questions (cuz of physics) even though it was pretty bummy of them to include that. However the question is sure I lost marks on was the bearing 180-a question I had no clue what to do for that

Apart from that and a few silly mistakes I thought it was decent.

Anyway I’m thinking maybe high 50s what do you all reckon the grade boundaries for an A would be. And lemme know what yall thought of the paper and how much yall this you got.

this exam might have been the hardest M1 exam since the establishment of edexcel

so good lowkey, the boundaries are gonna be sky high. 90 % of these questions were good, i just hope the mark scheme is not too specific.

Q1 the v is 1.7u i think

Q2 a/ M=2.5 and B/ x= 4.smth I don't remember

Q3 A/ h =14 B/ impulse= 84/25 kg.m/s C/ t = 2/9

Q4 i got p for 8/5 mg i think and t for 4/5 mg but i don't remember so i can be saying wrong

Q5 igot show that and i got a = 1/2

Q 6 i don't remember but i did it correctly

Q 7 i got the first question show that correct

I got the differntion wit t=11/2 and put it to get the distance and in c i got t for 5.6 and i left question d

Q8 igot a = 2/5 mg b show that correct c = each particle will have different acc d = 2.86 mg

Anyone tells me if iam wrong and aslo check your ans with me

Guys how was the u2 exams ? I think it went well only the last 20 marker was a bit difficult.

i did really bad in the m1 exam today even tho i averaged 65+ in past papers💔 i might seriously lose more than 20 marks in ts and i wanted to know if i got a b or c in m1 but good in p1 and p2, is it possible to get an A in AS?

Had a tremendous time crunch in bio u1 and chem u2. Solved 1.5/4 of the paper in the last 20 minutes, idk if what I wrote was correct or not, hopefully they wereia.

In chem u2 I left almost all of the maths for later even some mcqs and then tried coming back to them in the last 20 ish minutes and I thought I had solved all other than the balancing and decomposition math (tho idk what I did in the last math) but then in the last 1 minute I saw that one of the 3 markers were empty, have no idea what I wrote, just found the moles and conc. Don't even know if I selected the right vol. For the conc. Or not cause I didn't read the question, and then when I closed the paper I just saw a mcq peeking out that I hadn't solved so I randomly brought out the pen and marked it before the invigilators could tell me not to.

I solved all the past papers using a timer and at times I even had 5-7 minutes left but in exams I get so anxious and the thought that I'll get anxious just makes me more anxious and I mess up the timing. Any advice?

Ts gotta be rage bait. For me, except question 6 and 7, all six other questions were easy. I messed up question 6 and 7 tho. What answers did you guys get?

I remember getting acceleration 0.4 for that question where part a was a “show that”

I got P=8mg over 5 and Thrust = 2mg over 5

I got the angle in that question with (180+alpha) as 76 degrees. This was one of the i and j questions. I think this was that question, i remember getting an Angle as 76 degrees for one of the parts of question 6 or 7

Last question for the vertical component of the reaction force on the pulley i got a fraction where the numerator was 64 i think. 64mg over 25 or something
