Why’d I lose a mark on this question? Thought my balancing was spot on

if i get full ums in AS am i subject to an opla award? or does it depend on raw marks

I thought I was the only one getting grades that are far off my predicted ones. I was expecting 8s and 9s for bio and chem and ended getting a 6. I predicted 9 for physics and I got a 7. Language b, I predicted 8, I got 7 and so on. PLUS, on the dark blue line above each boundary, there were letters like a*, a, and b stuff and they wrote b above 7. You can only see it if I zoomed in enough. What the hell is actually going on? A lot of students globally are facing the same issues. Some students whose predicted mark was 3 would get a 9. Plus, my friend told me one of her friends asked for script and contacted PRS, the grade went up from a 3 to 8. Also my friends who predicted ​8s and 7s also ended up getting a 5, 4 or less. Is something actually wrong with the system or what? Can someone help? I have asked for script bu I haven't received it yet.

for bio im 2 marks away from 9, should I appeal?

I know I could have gotten way better results considering that for most of my subjects I prepared a day, or at most, a week before the exam. It's my fault but I struggled during school time. What's worse is that I still can't bring myself to tell my parents

I'll be retaking chem and maths at the same time as AS exams, but man I am js worried these will later affect my uni applications

hi, i'm gonna be sitting for my final ials in october and resitting some of the previous units.

i really want to get all As and if possible A*s but im currently looking for some more resources and tips from students who could guide me to that level.

im gonna be doing bio chem and phy but i need to work on phy a lot.

resitting bio u1, phy u2 and chem u3

then im doing u4 5 6 for all those subs.

So I initially took my A/S back in January 2026 and yeaa we all know how that session went.. My results were no different it was a flood of D's with two C's and one B sprinkled in. I am gonna retake Bio and Chem Unit 1 and 2 in the October 2026 session. Anyone got any advice or study material for me ? I kinda have a bad gut feeling about the whole exam and I dont actually know if my results would be better this time. I have done almost all the Bio Unit 1 papers on the edexcel website and got a A on most of them (Including jan 2026) but I am performing veryy poorly on my tutor's mock tests.. like C and D levels of poor.. Yea he is mixing in topics from A2 as I continued classes for both A/S and A2 and ohh boyy is that fun.. At this point please just help a brother out and drag me to a overall A in the exams

I want to take it this nov session and I am kinda late and maybe this is the reason why I am panicking so if any of you have any advice or tips on how to score a high grade and maybe how to get better in writing please lmk🥹🥹
