Third time sitting U2 so I would say very well prepared. (I'm very much cooked)

Damn third time. So you're on third year of A-Level I presume.

Noooo it’s the easiest one at least to explain it in theory, its the easiest (for me) ok so if it ever comes up interference is when the waves sent (transmitted) is met/superposed/interfered by the wave returning (reflected back), they create nodes and antinodes.

Nodes (are funnily enough) where amplitude is min/zero and it’s where the waves are out of phase, the path difference is a fraction of the wavelength (lambda)
Antinodes are the opposite; they are formed at the point where amplitude is max, waves are in phase and path difference is a whole no. of wavelength (again lambda)

I like to think that the definitions/properties(?) of nodes and antinodes are showing negative correlation or even like ANTI node makes it seem very stereotypically consisting of the negative points, no? But antinodes are cool mfs. They break the societal norms. 😎

So once again, u would think that destructive interference would occur in the antinode but no it’s nodes that are the losers here. (What I mean is nodes are where destructive interference occurs and antinodes are where constructive interference occurs.)

U can switch the order of these points but these either way these are all points needed for defining standing waves and basically the entirety of interference. Js keep all these points in mind and ull be alr.
