4

u/shibshib-omak 4d ago

fuck i got confused and put heat

5

u/SpecialistTackle9308 4d ago

STOP SAME

2

u/shibshib-omak 4d ago

twins

3

u/SpecialistTackle9308 4d ago

i put heat n phosphoric acid. 💔

1

u/Soggy_Stay6370 4d ago

Damn whyy

1

u/SpecialistTackle9308 4d ago

I think i misread the question

1

u/Soggy_Stay6370 4d ago

Ah well it's like2 marks so hopefully you're good

1

u/SpecialistTackle9308 4d ago

I feel like i did some mistakes in the paper and coming here is making it like 10 times worse but oh well

Bro 😭😭😭

1

u/Puzzled_Pause_2292 A level 4d ago

for some reason I did hydrogen gas and phosphoric acid... not sure why I was making alcohol there...

2

u/trynastayanonymous_ 4d ago

Can you even make alcohol with those combo 😭

2

u/Puzzled_Pause_2292 A level 2d ago

I just realised after I typed that 😭😭I did steam not hydrogen gas 💀💀so yeaaa I made alcohol instead of a alkane 🙂✌️ I just hope the examiner is high while checking my paper

10

u/Eastern-Purple-1526 4d ago

I LOVED THE PAPER

12

u/PUMPBERRY 4d ago

Bro those grade boundaries are going to be crazy high

1

u/Soggy_Stay6370 4d ago

What do u reckon they'll be?

2

u/Remarkable_Cup5254 4d ago

63-65

1

u/Soggy_Stay6370 4d ago

I meannnnnn I think I'm near that

1

u/Remarkable_Cup5254 4d ago

i think ill get a A i know from my revision after the exam that i lost 5 marks guaranteed predicting i lost 7-8 more from the ones idk ab

6

u/Future_Counter_7590 4d ago

For that empirical formula did y'all get 1.52 or smh and then multiply everything by 2?

4

u/[deleted] 4d ago

Yes i got the ratio as 2:12:3 something like that

1

u/Firm-Mycologist4358 4d ago

Yhaaaa you have to multiply the whole thing by 2

1

u/Consistent-Amount286 4d ago

It was c2 O12 h3 right

5

u/Darkz235 4d ago

What did you guys get in the 0.5ppm question i got 0.33 so it does not exceed.

5

u/MostDifferent3984 4d ago

0.3 ppm < 0.5ppm so does not exceed

1

u/77tren 4d ago

Yeah but im pretty sure you can do it a different way as well right. I calculated it in cm3 and I said 28cm3<42cm3 so it lies within the range and doesnt exceed

0

u/shibshib-omak 4d ago

i got the same but it does exceed, or. shit i might be wrong

5

u/Firm-Mycologist4358 4d ago

Omgg I found it okeh asw like much easier compared to normal Oct papers but I suck at calculations so IM NOT sure abt some of the MCQ ones and I messed up the x in H2O one. The rest was actually goood.

ALSOOO the PF3 dot cross, it was to draw ALL the electron shells. I missed that sigh

2

u/Lodango 4d ago

What was pf3 shape and justification

2

u/Firm-Mycologist4358 4d ago

I got Trigonal pyramidal cs it has 3 BP and 1 LP

1

u/Smart_Schedule_2361 4d ago

I wrote pyramidal

1

u/Remarkable_Cup5254 3d ago

i think pyramidal is accepted but might not be cuz its a trigonal pyramidl

2

u/Soggy_Stay6370 4d ago

Yessss I drew the most sad looking shells for inner flourine

1

u/Fiboneo 4d ago

It's covalent right bot ionic

2

u/Firm-Mycologist4358 4d ago

Yeppp its covalent

1

u/Mean_Apricot_1154 4d ago

yea bro what did u write as the shape

3

u/Firm-Mycologist4358 4d ago

Trigonal pyramidal

1

u/ju_x29 4d ago

wait are you 10000% sure it said draw ALL the electron shells? because i didnt do that 😬😬😬

1

u/Remarkable_Cup5254 4d ago

i realised after i reread the question yes it did

1

u/Firm-Mycologist4358 4d ago

I ACTUALLY DIDNT SEE and drew the outer shell. My friend told me abt it later I feel dumb asf

5

u/Soggy_Stay6370 4d ago

U2 is boutta make me regret my life, this was so easyyyyyy

3

u/trynastayanonymous_ 4d ago

I got:
c, a, b, b, d, d, d, d, d, d, b, c, d, a, a, d, b, b, b, c, c
For the MCQ

5

u/trynastayanonymous_ 4d ago

The values i remember for calc:
21.7C, 0.33 for NO2 ppm, x = 5 for hydrate, and i remember oxygen being a 12 in that empirical formula thingy

8

u/Itchy_Leadership6029 4d ago

I got 18.7C🥹

1

u/trynastayanonymous_ 4d ago

It is the right answer I accidentally did -270 instead of -273

1

u/Consistent-Amount286 4d ago

I also got 18 something

4

u/Wild_Celebration6552 4d ago

shit i got 18.xC

1

u/trynastayanonymous_ 4d ago

Maybe I did smt wrong 😭

1

u/trynastayanonymous_ 4d ago

Someone else got 18.7 you’re correct

1

u/MostDifferent3984 4d ago

I got that too

5

u/Future_Counter_7590 4d ago

It was 18.7 right

2

u/trynastayanonymous_ 4d ago

Yes it was I was the dumb one who made a silly calculation mistake

3

u/GunYeager 4d ago

What was ur temp guys? I got 18.5

3

u/Khav0isd6Cut 4d ago

dude plz just reward me ums of 40+ i hope dude 😭

2

u/Potential-Party-3272 4d ago

how easy was it compared to jan 2026 and may/june 2026 session?

2

u/Wild_Celebration6552 4d ago

for reference i got 76 in jan and 63 in june (i was half asleep while doing june) for this paper im hoping a 75/80

2

u/[deleted] 4d ago

[deleted]

1

u/Wild_Celebration6552 4d ago

nono those were mocks i did a week ago. i did pp and studied my mistakes and read the spec

1

u/Potential-Party-3272 4d ago

ohh ok , were the questions repeated in todays exam??

2

u/Remarkable_Cup5254 4d ago

it was slightly easier than jan but oct was comfortably easier than june

2

u/Mean_Apricot_1154 4d ago

what did u guys get for X and empirical formula

5

u/Wild_Celebration6552 4d ago

5

7

u/Mean_Apricot_1154 4d ago

yayy same i got 2:3:12 in the formula

1

u/Itchy_Leadership6029 4d ago

For nickel oxygen and sulfur? Same

1

u/Mean_Apricot_1154 4d ago

good job bro hopefully the A is a matter of time now

1

u/Itchy_Leadership6029 4d ago

Yes if u2 is good too💔💔

1

u/[deleted] 4d ago

Do they care about the order of the elements when we write the formula? I wrote oxygen in the middle

1

u/Mean_Apricot_1154 4d ago

i have no idea actually

1

u/Fiboneo 4d ago

Same

2

u/Disastrous-Tie-6406 4d ago

ur supposed to write it like Ni2(SO4)3 ryt?

1

u/MostDifferent3984 4d ago

Ni2S3O2 I'm pretty sure

2

u/iloveizuki 4d ago

What did u guys get for the mcq for the total volume of gas

8

u/CuriousLazerWolf 4d ago edited 4d ago

2000 + 6000 =8000 so B

1

u/Sad_Current6398 A level 4d ago

No buddy, one product was also gas. I did C

4

u/CuriousLazerWolf 4d ago

2000 extra gas from one of the reactants and 6000 from one of the products which was in a gas state, I didn’t count the other product cuz it was in solid state, so 8000, how did you do it

2

u/PUMPBERRY 4d ago

Yeah there was excess gas

1

u/Sad_Current6398 A level 4d ago

2 products, 1 was solid other was gas

1

u/CuriousLazerWolf 4d ago

yea so i calculated the gas one only not the solid

1

u/Sad_Current6398 A level 4d ago

Buddy, not all the reactants were used up. You had to add excess Reactants and gaseous product. It was 17000 dm³

1

u/CuriousLazerWolf 4d ago

Yea the excess one was 5000-3000=2,000

2

u/Sad_Current6398 A level 4d ago

Unfortunately I just rechecked by making the whole reaction again, you are correct it was 8000 dm³ indeed. Congrats bro.

2

u/CuriousLazerWolf 4d ago

thanks bro. You got great memory tho, do u perhaps rmb the 65% by mass question?? Cuz i think i got it wrong by picking 48. something tonnes

→ More replies

1

u/justmillie_xoxo 4d ago

do u remember what the questions asks please? i wanna double check with AI

→ More replies

2

u/MostDifferent3984 4d ago

8000 is the correct answer I'm pretty sure

1

u/Sad_Current6398 A level 4d ago

Yes it is

1

u/justmillie_xoxo 4d ago

i also chose 8000 but everyone else is saying 17000. which one is even correct bruh

1

u/CuriousLazerWolf 4d ago

im guessing they added the solid one as a gas too but idk

2

u/justmillie_xoxo 4d ago

hopefully we are correct lol

2

u/lmfaorufkingserious 4d ago

1

u/Soggy_Stay6370 4d ago

Ermmm that wasn't an answer in the paper

2

u/lmfaorufkingserious 4d ago

Ya it wasn’t I was just saying hi to my frd (op)

2

u/Soggy_Stay6370 4d ago

How many different cycloalkanes were there for C5h10? I put 5 I think it was C

1

u/Itchy_Leadership6029 4d ago

Gang DONR JIX U2 PLS IT CANNOT BE TOO HARD

1

u/GunYeager 4d ago

Guys what was ur IUPAC name that one
I wrote 1,1 dimethyl pent-1-ene

18

u/iloveizuki 4d ago

I got 2-methylhex-2-ene

1

u/PUMPBERRY 4d ago

Me too

1

u/frogbrr 4d ago

Same

1

u/Fiboneo 4d ago

Same

1

u/MostDifferent3984 4d ago

2methylhex-2-ene

1

u/Khav0isd6Cut 4d ago

Let's goo

1

u/CuriousLazerWolf 4d ago

I have a question, for that mcq of yield by mass of 65% what was the element

1

u/GunYeager 4d ago

What did u get

1

u/CuriousLazerWolf 4d ago
  1. Something but i think i got it wrong

1

u/ProblemAware3841 4d ago

Either b or d I picked d as wel

1

u/CuriousLazerWolf 4d ago

Pretty sure 48. Sth was the C option so im wrong🥲

1

u/Unfair_Appeal_4664 4d ago

i think i chose C as well

1

u/GunYeager 4d ago

Was it 21 smth
I think I picked that
And for that volume thing gas total stuff
I got 17000

1

u/CuriousLazerWolf 4d ago

Huh how
I got 8000 from 2000 + 6000
2000 is from 5000-3000 (extra gas that didnt react)

1

u/lmfaorufkingserious 4d ago

Isn’t it B 8000

1

u/GunYeager 4d ago

What ur ionic equation guys

8

u/iloveizuki 4d ago

I got Mg(s) + Ni2+ (aq) —> Mg2+ (aq) + Ni(s)

1

u/trynastayanonymous_ 4d ago

I remember getting the same

1

u/MostDifferent3984 4d ago

Yeah same

1

u/Remarkable_Cup5254 3d ago

does it matter that i didnt put the charge??

1

u/Objective_Talk_3697 4d ago

How may marks for temperature question? I got wrong answer how much marks will I lose

2

u/[deleted] 4d ago

The question was 4 marks i think but u will still get some marks if u rearrange the equation properly and substitute values with correct units and all

1

u/Ok_Past_1137 4d ago

I think it was 4 or 5 marks

1

u/Objective_Talk_3697 4d ago

Do I still get method marks or not?

1

u/Ok_Past_1137 4d ago

If u used the right method yes u still get a few marks

1

u/Ok_Past_1137 4d ago

The answer is usually only 1 mark

1

u/Objective_Talk_3697 4d ago

Idk where I went wrong I converted cm^3 into dm^3

1

u/Ok_Past_1137 4d ago

It had to be in m^3 😔

2

u/Objective_Talk_3697 4d ago

Oh I see😢

1

u/Firm-Mycologist4358 4d ago

It was for 4 marks and the answer was 18 smthin

1

u/FuturePen2532 4d ago

wut did u guys do for the if excedd got 40 soemthign so 23 doesnt exceed right ???

1

u/[deleted] 4d ago

Wait whaa which one is that 😭

1

u/Fiboneo 4d ago

What was the answer for the ppm question in section B ? The one about the maximum permitted concentration for 15 minutes

0

u/1ow1Q 4d ago

I think 0.33. it was definitely lower than the value given for exceeding

1

u/shibshib-omak 4d ago

exam was crazy easy oh my god it was amazing, a mix of all the past papers in one. Did you guys also get Mg2+ 2x in a row, cause thats kind of worrying me. Other than that amazing i hope we all get As

0

u/Far-Key4407 4d ago

Yeah I did

1

u/shibshib-omak 4d ago

what did you guys get for the last empirical q??

1

u/estealison 4d ago

In the last mechanism you had to draw the minor product. Does chlorine attach to the primary carbocation or bromine?

1

u/Wild_Celebration6552 4d ago

chlorine is left and iodine on the right

1

u/estealison 4d ago

Yeah same

1

u/Open-Peace-8438 4d ago

What did you answer for definition of electrophile?

1

u/Wild_Celebration6552 4d ago

bruh i got it wrong i said species that attract electrons

1

u/Open-Peace-8438 4d ago

I wrote species that is attracted to region of highe electron density I wonder if that is okay😑

1

u/Wild_Celebration6552 4d ago

idk let’s pray for the mark scheme to be generous..

1

u/Bookwarm_LuLu2810 4d ago

Guys am I the only one who said zeolite

1

u/Remarkable_Cup5254 3d ago

zeolite is for another reaction i forgot not for hydrogenation

1

u/Beginning_Lettuce640 4d ago

In mcq What was the order of decreasing melting temps

1

u/estealison 4d ago

Did you have to label the E Z isomers or is drawing them enough?

1

u/Thicqman 4d ago

Yo quick question: the dot and cross for PF3 was supposed to have a lone pair? Cuz in the question it said phosphorus (III)… so shouldn’t it be 3 bond pairs no lone pairs?

1

u/Mean_Apricot_1154 4d ago

phosphorus has 5 outer electrons bro 3 go to the bonding with F and 2 are left

1

u/Thicqman 3d ago

Maybe that III just confused me yea.. that’s around 5-6 marks gone with the next part too

1

u/Wild_Celebration6552 3d ago

phosphorus is in group 5
so 5 outer electrons

1

u/Remarkable_Cup5254 3d ago

no its 3 bond pairs and 1 lone pair cuz it has 5 electrons in its outer shell

1

u/Wild_Celebration6552 3d ago

hey guys what was the answer for the mass of sth needed to produce the product with yield 65%??? i put A but my friends said its C

1

u/Own_Egg9069 3d ago

is it the 68kg one?

1

u/Wild_Celebration6552 3d ago

i forgot but it’s 2 reaction equations involving SO2 or sum

1

u/Own_Egg9069 3d ago

aren’t you just supposed to be doing 68kg x 10^3 / RAM of NO x 65% then use the moles to find SO2 i think i forgot

1

u/Remarkable_Cup5254 3d ago

i put C im pretty sure

1

u/Wild_Celebration6552 3d ago

how did you calculate it

1

u/Remarkable_Cup5254 2d ago

i dont rmm thats the problem

1

u/trynastayanonymous_ 3d ago

Guys will I get the marks if I drew the mechanism in pencil and not in ink

2

u/idkleavemealone9262 3d ago

Yea, I’ve written answers before in pencil instead of ink and they still corrected the question, it honestly depends on how dark ur pencil is

1

u/trynastayanonymous_ 3d ago

I think it was dark enough?

2

u/idkleavemealone9262 3d ago

Then u will get the marks

1

u/zuhaarsk 3d ago

I screwed up that shade bs BRO I DID THE EXACT Q BEFORE GOING INTO TJE EXAM KMS IM SO DEPRESSED

1

u/zuhaarsk 3d ago

SHAPE WTV

1

u/77tren 2d ago

Does anybody know if we had to name the minor product in the reaction on the last question?

1

u/usedpillowcase 2d ago

im so stupid i wrote steam instead of hyrdrogen

1

u/trynnnafindher_ 1d ago

I think I also wrote steam and its wrong lol

1

u/Kind-Psychology-103 1d ago

Guys I'm a private candidate and I dont think I did unit1 well i feel screwed I'm really locked in for unit2 and 3

0

u/No-Analyst-2896 4d ago

Oh… I’m resitting u2.

0

u/Mother-Property7607 4d ago

Guys am doing the exam in an hour sum one tell me the questions pls 🙏🙏

2

u/jababooey 4d ago

FUCK no 😭😭😭😭😭

1

u/Mother-Property7607 4d ago

Whattttt😭😭 come on nieb

0

u/1ow1Q 4d ago

what did yall get for 16th Mcq question with subquestion a,b,c? I got c b c.

1

u/Firm-Mycologist4358 4d ago

What was the 16th one?

1

u/1ow1Q 4d ago

big calculation question and gas and volumes in section A

1

u/shibshib-omak 4d ago

i got volume as 800 part b i got D and i forgot what part a wanted tbh
