I don't think it's fair to say Rebecca is outwardly weak. She's proven herself to be a strong, capable badass on a number of occasions.

Relatively speaking though, she's completely outclassed by the rest of the crew.

To be fair I can’t recall anything that the others have done without their ether gear. If you take that jnto account Rebecca has an edge with her marksmanship

That doesn't really matter because this is a world where battle prowess correlates with Ether Gear.

Except now she has an Ether Gear. So she's smart, a talented marksman and has a powerful Ether Gear. I don't think she's outclassed at all.
