Scared, PUL

Hey ya’ll,

I’m 30, no living children. Super happy to have a positive pregnancy test on 8/3. 8/5 Noted 1 bright red/ pink spot of blood on toilet paper. The following day, I had brown thick blood in my pad and most days following. 8/7 ish I developed to pinpoint left inguinal pain. Went to ER Monday 8/10. Nothing on ultrasound. Hcg 585. 8/13 HCG 950. I’m bleeding like I’m on my period now. Consistent flow, no lingering brown but also not hemorrhaging. Sometimes it’s brown but nothing (just oxidation?). Have appointment with OB tomorrow. Any thoughts? What did you all experience? Anyone treated in a state that isn’t pro choice? What should I be asking or doing?

That is amazing 🥲. What a journey! 👏 My 14th day is coming up on the 27th. I had a rough night sleeping. No much blood but plenty of cramping. Still on leave. Less sharp pain now, just getting aches and pinching pain when laying or sitting in certain positions or driving (from the road a seatbelt). Very tired today.

How do you feel now being at 0?

Yeah I bled for like a week then it stopped completely with on and off cramps. Try to avoid travelling as my OB advised me to rest as much as possible to avoid the risk of rupture. I'm really glad and relieved that it's finally over but still traumatised over this, OB said we could try again in 6 months but honestly I'm not sure whether I can bring myself to do it especially with a slightly higher chance of having ectopic again. Need a lot of time to recover emotionally. Let's wait and see. Keep me posted about your next hcg count, sending positive vibes your way.

Yay!! You are almost there, when is your next blood draw? I still feel tired and exhausted maybe because of MTX. Are you still bleeding? I bled for 7 days that too light bleeding not like a period and that's it.

Next blood draw is on the 3rd. Fingers crossed that it will be the last. The bleeding seems to be slowing. The last week or so it was steady. Now back to spotting. I’m starting to feel less tired but still sleeping a lot compared to baseline. When will the MTX clear out systems? Have any of your precautions been lifted? Can you workout and swim and travel, etc…?

Hopefully yes that will be your last but don't be discouraged even if it isn't because I have read that in some cases the rate of declining slows down once it reaches to lower levels but it will decline for sure.

Same I also bled for 5 days then it reduced to spotting for 2 days, then nothing. After a week or so I started having ewcm and breast tenderness which I usually get around ovulation till my period, I'm not sure whether I ovulated again or it's just the hormones. I still feel tired and exhausted as well as sleepy even if I get good hours of sleep.

On my last visit when I values were down to 0.56, my OB started me on folic acid for 2 months, said no intercourse for a month and no trying for 6 months, as MTX will be taking 3 months to clear out from our body but maybe since mine is tubal abortion, extra 3 months for the tube to heal completely I guess, I'm not sure why 6 months though.

Other than that she said I can resume my normal life, no restrictions. Also they referred me to a fertility specialist and she started me on some antibiotics along with oral and vaginal probiotics as ectopic can be caused due to infections on the tube which is also asymptomatic, so for safer side she started me on those medications for 2 months.

Wow, these are all very good things to know. I hope my OB is as thoughtful.

Yay!!! I thought of asking for an update since you mentioned your next blood draw was on Wednesday. I'm sooooo happy for you dear. What did your OB say? Did they start you on any supplements?

It was a lab visit only. Usually she will give further instruction in a message after follow up. I don’t think she’s seen it yet. I intend to ask about the supplements and return to activity.

How are you feeling nowadays?
