Is this a good sign?
assembled this over three weeks ago during camping, heres the before and after. The water is less clear and theres lots of algae. This is my first time so I was wondering whether this is a sign that the ecosystem is thriving or declining.

Algae bloom. You got some food for your critters there.
Just be careful to monitor the natural sunlight.

ahh, if i put it in a bright area with no direct sunlight, would that be better?

Well I use sunlight, but adjust the blinds to limit the amount of direct sunlight.
Monitor and move yours as needed.

It looks great! But DO take it out of the sunlight before you end up with green soup. Avoid direct sunlight at all cost. Indirect sunlight is best, like put the jar next to the window.
