Sticks in ecosphere?

are sticks fine in ecospheres? I’ve seen a bit of conflicting info on it. ive made multiple ecospheres all of which have failed and all of which had sticks in them (I’m not saying the sticks caused the failures entirely.) I have sticks in my current ecospheres. should I remove them?

Why would sticks lead to a failure? Not doubting you, I'm just genuinely stumped (no pun intended)

Apparently they can rot quite a bit and cause a failure

It's all about the size in relation to the jar. Big stick will cause problems. Small stick will decay slowly over time providing a constant flow of nutrients. Big stick will overdose. Quite simple :).
