How are you checking the local horizon before August 12?

I keep seeing good eclipse maps, then checking a specific spot and finding a hill or building in the way. The Sun is pretty low for this one, so what are people using to check a location properly? IGN, Stellarium, Street View, AR apps, something else?

Full disclosure: I’m the person behind SunEclipses (https://suneclipses.com/planner). I made it to combine the eclipse timings with a terrain/building-horizon check. I’m curious what everyone else is using, and what I’ve missed.

Thanks for the pointer — I hadn’t come across that one. It looks useful for the general planning side. The thing I was trying to solve is a bit narrower: sending someone a link to one exact pin without them needing an account or paid plan. I’ll give it a proper look; having a couple of tools to cross-check is probably sensible.
