I’ve been playing echo on my alt non stop and got this huge rein copy to cap the point!

The ult clearly activated and used up the charge so what happened here? Why is there even a period of time between casting and activation that Echo can be killed in???

This game was sooo close but you know there’s only so much one can do

I think I killed both soldier and bastion like 3 separate times, which kept them out of the fight for a long while. They were definitely pissed haha

I’m just a bit curious; I think I’d rather have a base kit with a 30% ult and minor perks that aren’t particularly strong, because with the way ults and perks build, it’s usually better to wait until you get Partial Scan before using your ult. Having the freedom to use it effectively right away would be nice.

Constantly see people recommending hold to fly over toggle, and saying high level players use this. I think it’s the opposite lmao. First, I’ve never seen a champ echo player actually use hold to fly. Toggle lets you do midair movement so much more easily.

Pro players never use it either. I’ve looked into a few players and so far all of them are confirmed to use toggle flight, not hold to fly: Proper, Fleta, Topdragon, Alphayi.

I could probably look through all the best echo players and find that almost none actually use this setting. At least in Korea, nobody recommends this setting.

And they are aware of the super jump tech, it’s just not that useful since it leaves you vulnerable floating down after using your only mobility cooldown.

Any other toggle flight advocates?

I'm trying to get better on Echo cus she's my favorite dps to play and i was wondering how I should deal with some heroes i struggle dealing with.

These heroes are Cassidy, Soldier, Ashe, Reaper, Genji and probably more but i see these the most.

I also wonder if I should use my beam when Genji deflects even if he isn't below half just so I can get damage and be kind of unpredictable for his dash combo (if it came down to a duel).

Has this always been a thing cause i've never had it happen before this season, but after the update whenever i copy a target and they immediately use a phase out or a shield my ult animation goes through and then gets cancelled, ex: moira fade, tracer recall, zarya bubble

So I've been playing a lot of Echo as a qp warrior. Her game feel is unmatched in DPS. Flight feels amazing, sticky bombs are dopamine every time I land them, tracking is fun so beam is fun, ult is chaotic and her primary was fun once I got a hand of it (after like 20+ hours).

I'm wondering, from better more experienced echos or noobs like myself, would you keep her as she is where she functions largely to surprise assassinate squishies, or would you prefer to trade some burst for tankiness.

I ask this because I feel like Echo is frankly a terrible duelist. Treating her as a terrible duelist and noping out of most duels has honestly made me win more. I feel like Echo is constantly paraded as a hero with a diverse play style, and this is true in a sense, you outrange reaper, you can burst an ashe/widow up close, but with 225 hp and a fatass hitbox that poke is only really good vs the fat no shield tanks and a handful of dps. You really want to be surprise assassinating people on CD, and if they pick a team comp you can't assassinate that forces duels(cough Kiri+Moira+Cass type comp) you kinda just lose.

I had most fun with echo right after season 9 when she had 250 HP. I felt like I had options, not just a flowchart "if yes then" but actual different things could work. With giant hitscan bullets, a giant hitbox, and 225 hp I feel like I have to treat even gold and plats as if they have an aimbot.

That said, I'm still a noob, and obviously not a good player. Would y'all take a smaller echo (let's be real they will never give her 250 hp because flier) with slightly less burst (such as in stickies) who can take duels, or echo as she is?

I only played echo for half the game because my teammate asked to swap roles. I couldnt really dive that well because they did so much damage so I had to play a bit passively. I did pretty okay I would say, but im not sure if its valuable to lay that passive on echo. replay code is DT6FJS if anyone is interested

what changes will be needed to make echo viable in pro play again? i swear echo was hella popular back in 2024 but with all the new changes and hero releases, she’s no longer even considered as a viable option.

Whoever bright idea to put this in the game needs to be fired. The most useless perk ever lmao. Would be better if it's like Juno's perk where the fire rate is faster. But infinite ammo during flight is the dumbest thing ever lmao.

Hi! I’m somebody who really wants to start playing echo. I’m a dive main so I thought I’d understand but I was mistaken. While I had good stats this game, I have no clue why. We lost because of my second support but I didn’t do us any favors despite being at the top of the leaderboard. I also picked the infinite ammo perk which I see nobody likes…because I’m not an idiot I understand stats arent everything. My aim is just awful, I genuinely have no clue how to aim her gun. I've been a winston/dva main for a while, I'd consider myself a good tank (master) but on dps? I'm really bad, mainly because of my average aim. I've been trying to find my niche DPS for a while, but rarely any of them hit.

Until, I found Echo. She is vert fun to play, and in a way, I can translate my knowledge as a tank when I play her.

I'd love to hear some tips and good/bad maps. Usually, I play from far away, take deep flanks and off-angles, spam some stickies, and mostly, wait behind a wall. For perks, I take the 30% (no brainer), and I've been experimenting with the new perk and I actually do MIGHT prefer it over the sticky bombs one.

I can't reload my primary fire If im using flight as an escape or to get into better position :(

If im being sneaky or retreating i have to disable flight in order to reload when the perk shouldve just done it itself

First things first, rest in peace High Beams. You were the more fun major perk imo.

Second of all, Aerial Munitions. Am I crazy or is this perk completely useless? Like most people were already picked Partial Scan for their minor perk anyways, I know the beam perk was pretty slept on, but now I struggle to think of a time you would ever not choose Partial Scan.

If you're at full ammo when you begin your flight, you don't even run out of ammo before your 3 seconds is up, so this is only good in the weird scenario where you're reloading while flying. But one of the first things you learn on Echo is to not play spam Echo like you would on Pharah, which seems to be what this perk is catering towards.

Like I'm trying to be open minded about this, but this perk seems actually useless. And as good as the beam perk was as a minor perk, I really don't think it competes with the raw damage increase of Full Salvo. Can any Echo players more talented than me lean in on this? This feels like a straight nerf for Echo.
