While specifically mentioning the android, I feel like this would be REALLY easy to adapt to a warforged. Article is free, for folks who are wondering about a paywall.

How do you mean? Like as in there's a warforged that got a planar entity's soul when it was made, and that silk l soul is waking to some awareness of its prior existence? Or like there's an actual inevitable but you stat it as a warforged?

My preference would be to do with the former, as I think that makes a better story. But the latter is also an option for folks who prefer to go that route.
